Back on the fairways again after too long an absence. It felt great but the score wasn’t so good!

Anahita Golf Course in Mauritius. Beautifully maintained, the fairways are wide so it’s a course where you gain confidence in your game while enjoying the typically scenic coastal views. Nearby accommodations include the onsite Anahita Villas, the adjacent Four Seasons and the less plush but lovely Long Beach Hotel also has a deal to play Anahita.

I played the beautiful Knole Park with some golfing chums today. Fabulous weather, deer and other wildlife everywhere, the National Trust castle and North Downs as a stunning backdrop and a really good golf design to enjoy. Celebrating 100 years next year, Knole Park Golf Club must be the best inland golf course in Kent. I didn’t play well ☹️ but I still enjoyed the course 👍 and can’t wait to play it again

I met up with these three suspicious looking characters at the British Par Three Championship at Nailcote Hall in Warwickshire this week. Simon Lee was a very good amateur player and I’ve known him for years, the chap in the middle is the very knowledgeable Sky Golf presenter Rob Lee and the gentleman on the end is Ron’s caddie Vince. The event is highly recommended - Major winners, Ryder Cup players and Tour Winners play over four days on the tough and very pretty course. Spectating is free and you can watch very close to the action, enjoy a BBQ and listen to live music. It was excellent fun (and great networking!) meeting up with some of the players again in such an elegant and relaxed setting

Back from Scotland where my children and our dog explored the Highlands and Islands with our golf clubs. A stunning experience with warm welcomes, superb service and memorable scenery. Driving was a pleasure and the golf and hikes the perfect excuse for family time and a well-deserved dinner.

Minthis Hills is an ambitious five-star country retreat about 20 minutes in the hills above Paphos in Cyprus. Spacious Suites, warm service, luxury spa and great views are combined with a pretty golf course and soon-to-open restaurant and bar. I liked it and think it could be great.
