🔷The team have recently completed the restoration to this large chimney stack in Bromley.

The chimney stack had been previously covered with a thick cement render and rendered capping. The team removed all the cement from the chimney stack, supplied and fitted a number of replacement reclaimed bricks, including rebuilding the top 3 courses of brickwork.

We also carried out a full brick clean to the chimney stack brickwork and supplied and fitted new chimney pots and cowls, finished with flush lime pointing.

🔷That concludes our work at this stunning property in Ewhurst, Cranleigh.

The team have been busy carrying out a number of Sussex sandstone replacement sections to previously cemented areas of crumbling sandstone. We have been working on and off on this project for a number of months and it’s great to see it come to completion and make such a difference to the fabric of the building. Well done to all the team involved on a fantastic job.

🔷Last week the team had the pleasure of working again at the V&A museum, London.

One of the stone plinths below this statue had become loose and a danger to the public, this is mainly due to the stone sections being previously fitted using mastic only.

We carefully removed the loose sections of stone, set these aside and refitted them with specialised stone adhesive, then grouted the joints.

🔷Ongoing work at one of our large restoration projects in Eltham. The team have been carrying out some skilled restoration to the property in the sunshine.

The property was previously covered in pebble dash which the team have carefully removed, alongside replacing over 100 bricks we have cleaned the brickwork and started to carry out lime pointing with a weather struck finish.

With access to the chimney stacks enabling us to survey them properly we identified that rebuilding work was required along with reflaunching and re fitting of the existing pots. The coping stones have also been lifted and relaid as these were also loose to the touch.

🔷The team have recently been working at All saints church, Woodchurch.

Having carried out work last summer to the exterior gable we were asked back to complete some internal lime plaster repairs. The internal plaster had become defective and sections had started to fall to the floor below. Our operatives have removed the damaged sections of plaster and re applied a smooth traditional lime plaster finish.
