All travellers aged 12 and over will, however, need to show a negative Covid test taken within the previous 24 hours. This can be an antigen or PCR test, but not a home test kit. UK lateral flow tests that are taken at home but sent off to a laboratory to be processed can be accepted in some cases ....

There are so many questions regarding how next season is going to work that we have decided to abandon online bookings.

In a TV address on Tuesday evening, Macron said coronavirus risks made it "impossible" to allow winter sports to resume quickly.

He also announced the closure of bars and restaurants until 20th Jan next year

He indicated that it was preferable to plan for a re-opening of the resorts in January "under favourable conditions". He promised an update with 10 days.

Following the announcement we have heard wide spread protest throughout France,however realistically it looks like the UK market should be aiming for late season skiing when hopefully travel rules will also be far less onerous.

Part of the decision is undoubtably based on the desire not to further burden hospitals in the Haute Savoie and Savoie regions,with an influx of patients.

The Grand Massif ski area are still optimistic about opening as normally as possible this year.

The Grand Massif ski area are still optimistic about opening as normally as possible this year.

Partial opening of the ski area (Flaine and Samoëns) from Saturday 12th December until Friday 18th December 2020 and the whole area from Saturday 19th December 2020 until Sunday 18th April 2021.
