As a former VM Specialist at Polo Ralph Lauren - UK, Dionne Thurland has travelled widely across the brand’s UK and European retail locations cementing the brands visual identity by applying the highest standards of visual merchandising techniques. Dionne
has also held a variety of other prominent positions in Brand Marketing and Visual Presentation for fashion brands such as; Ben Sherman, Bhs, Dorothy Perkins of the Arcadia Group and at River Island. Dionne is passionate about fashion VM and has completed over 60 consulting projects with major industry brands, led project initiatives and provided numerous strategic consulting. Her philosophy on VM is very straightforward; “sustained increases in sales revenue rest fundamentally in the ability of a retailer to craft an emotional connection with its customers”. Dionne holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Marketing from De Montfort University UK, and currently lectures at the Caribbean Academy of Fashion and Design (CAFD) at the University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT).
