There are some colonial built cities in Latin America that have less exposure to tourism.

One of them is in Bolivia.🇧🇴

Sucre is one of the most beautiful cities in South America and a place that confounds expectations. Set at an altitude of 2810m, it was established in the mid-1500s by Spanish conquistadors on the lands of the indigenous Yampara people and has since been known as Charcas, Chuquisaca, Ciudad de la Plata (City of Silver) and finally Sucre, rightfully earning it the title “The City with Four Names”.

It is designated as UNESCO world heritage site.

The history is really deeply preserved and the freedom movements by Simon Bolivar is well documented here. Sucre became the capital of the new Republic of Bolivia in 1825, but political and economic influence gradually drained away. In 1899, following a brief civil war, the presidency, congress and de facto capital status moved north-west to La Paz, though Sucre was allowed to retain the title of constitutional capital.

What we liked about this city, you can wander about anywhere to experience the local Bolivian culture with Spanish influences and well designed city.

Many historical buildings and museums are worth visiting to understand the real birth of Latin American freedom movement. Once you understand this then travelling within Latin America makes one experience a journey worth knowing the facts.

Zhangjiajie National Forest Park was established in 1982 and is just one of 4 national parks in 26000 hectares Wulingyuan Scenic Area.

🐢The Galapagos green turtle is the only sea turtle species that nests in the Galapagos Islands.

🥹These marine reptiles can grow up to 1.5 meters (in length and weigh between 110–185 kg making them one of the largest sea turtles and can live upto 80 years.

Green sea turtles are amazing marine reptiles named for their green body fat, not their shells. They can hold their breath for up to five hours while resting, and navigate thousands of miles back to the exact beach where they were born.

A true survivor from the age of dinosaurs, the Galapagos green turtle is a living link to Earth’s prehistoric past. Whether nesting on a secluded beach or swimming alongside snorkelers, they offer a breathtaking encounter with one of the ocean’s most ancient creature!

Ecuador is full of some of the most stunning and powerful waterfalls.
There is a universal enchanting quality about colossal waterfalls that attract people from every corner of the world.

Ruta de las cascades in Ecuador have numerous waterfalls on the way namely Machay waterfalls, Manto de la Novia waterfalls.

Cascada de Agoyán is best to visit closer on a zip line to feel its magnitude.

Pailon del Diablo is without a doubt the most recognized and famous waterfall in Ecuador. The significance of the name in English is “The Devil’s Cauldron.” It is the tallest waterfall of the Ecuadorian Andes, and the waters plunge 200 feet into a cauldron shaped gorge below. One aspect that makes this Ecuadorian waterfall so spectacular is the steep winding staircase bringing you closer and closer toward the waterfall until you have a spectacular view.

Whilst on cruise to far flung islands in western Galapagos, our travellers got the opportunity to snorkel and swim with these beautiful mammals of the sea.
In their own habitat the humans were the guests, their curiosity, playfulness and cuteness were showered to them.

Hardly any other disturbances, this was lovely to watch them!

Did you know the are completely unique?

They have distinctive colors and spikes running down their back.

Cactus is an important source of nutrition for Galapagos land iguanas due to the lack of fresh water in the region. As it doesn’t rain much in the Galapagos islands, they derive moisture from the cacti during dry seasons. This makes up for up to 80 percent of their diet.

They sunbathe for a living!!! Since land iguanas are cold-blooded reptiles, they spend most of their time basking in the sunshine. Fortunately, there’s plenty of that to go around in the Galapagos Islands.

Galapagos land iguanas tend to live by themselves. Male iguanas are especially territorial and often become aggressive while fending off other males.
