π Understanding the Sacred Boundaries: A Guide to the Miqats β¨
Embarking on the blessed journey of Umrah or Hajj requires deep spiritual and physical preparation. A fundamental part of this preparation is knowing where and when to enter the sacred state of Ihram.
As clearly mapped out in QB UK Miqat.jpg, there are specific designated stations, known as Miqats, surrounding the holy city of Makkah.
β οΈ Crucial Reminder: If you intend to perform Umrah or Hajj, you must not cross the miqat boundary without entering the state of ihram. Doing so is a vital condition for your pilgrimage and ensures your journey begins with the correct intentions and protocols.
Depending on the direction you are traveling from, you will pass one of these principal Miqats:
π Dhul Hulaifah (located near Madinah, primarily for pilgrims arriving from or via the Prophet's city)
π Al-Juhfah (the designated point for those traveling from North America, Europe, Egypt, and Syria)
π Dhat 'Irq (the Miqat for pilgrims coming from Iraq, Iran, and surrounding northern/eastern regions)
π Qarn Al-Manazil (serving those arriving from Najd, Taif, and the UAE)
π Yalamlam (the station for those arriving from Yemen, South Asia, and parts of Africa)
Understanding these geographical boundaries allows you to focus entirely on your devotion and worship of Allah (SWT) without any lingering doubts. Save this guide to help you or a loved one prepare for the ultimate spiritual journey!
