One is a completely private paradise, the other a Maldivian first; together they’re a boutique triumph that suddenly makes choosing between being somewhere and nowhere nothing but advantageous.

It may be one of the Maldives’ smallest resorts, but .Here makes a big impact. Its aim to be ‘a place where you can be Somewhere and Nowhere all at once’ is an intriguing one, but the clue is in the capitals – the resort is split across two islets with those names.

Part of the Finolhu Resort family, the pair sits at the end of the largest sandbank in the region and have adopted Finolhu’s playful side – from colourful interiors to the plethora of water sports. Service is still taken seriously though, it’s hyper-personalised thanks to dedicated staff, butlers and private chefs who tailor-make menus.

Set within the UNESCO Baa Atoll, Somewhere is the traditional Maldivian resort in miniature. Just seven two-storey villas share a restaurant suspended overwater, a water sports centre and a communal pavilion that marries traditional Dhoni-inspired design with fun modern interiors.
