Parc Monceau in Paris is a majestic park. Lose yourself for a while, hide, meditate, savour life and connect with nature. A splendid calm and beautiful surroundings when you wish to escape the rest of the world...!!

You may think that seeing one park is seeing them all... but you can't be more mistaken...!!
Paris is not only rich culturally for its art, its architecture but also for the unique amalgam of parks it offers.
Parc Monceau, in the 8th arrondissement, has inimitable features.
In my series of parks around the world, Parc Monceau is certainly one not to miss...!! Here are some photos - part 1.

Real locations used as film sets are often an attraction and great interest to many cinephiles.
And I am one of them...! :-)
In the film 'Me Before You', the last scene is filmed in Paris, in the romantic Place Dauphine, on the Ile de la Cité, in the 1st arrondissement. But of course, to us Parisians, this beautiful square (which is actually more triangular) is more famous for being, once upon a time, home to Yves Montand and Simone Signoret, two great actors.

I went back there to remind myself why this place is so special. It's like stepping into la Provence, south of France, with its sandy area where men play la pétanque in summer and where you can sit at the terrace of one of those delightful cafés, savouring life go by.

A truly romantic spot! Highly recommended

L'Ile de la Cité in Paris has more to offer than its architecture and a village feel to it.
The cafés, restaurants and quirky shops are all worth a visit. Walking through the Ile de la Cité takes you back in time, a sensation of leaving the Paris we know behind to find a poetic one.

Did you know that Paris has two natural islands right in the middle of the city?
L'Ile Saint Louis is one of them. Its unique character is partly due to the architecture that has kept the feel of the old Paris. From one side of the island, you can admire the other island, l'Ile de la Cité, where Notre Dâme Cathedral stands with pride.

One of the best fish restaurants ever...!! This one is on the outskirts of Paris, in a beautiful setting, but you will find another one near Boulevard Saint Germain, and many others around France. 'La Criée' has an friendly ambiance, smiling helpful personnel and the best seafood I have had for a long time, in a restaurant.

Highly recommended!

Liverpool, a definite must-see when coming to the UK. From its history, architecture, culture, ambiance, people, you will enjoy a wealth of unique aspects. And Liverpool is so much more than all that. Its nightlife is buzzing, another attraction of this vibrant city...!
Ohhhh and taxis are SO cheap here.... you can go out each night without worrying about how much you are spending on transport...!!
