One of our most popular islands recently is Kagi Maldives, where many clients have reported back that the house reef is spectacular! Like many islands, however, they were forced to build new seawalls last year and some are very close to some of the Ocean Pool Villas. Message from our owner, Paula. It's been almost three months since the tragic loss of my husband and co-owner of Magic of Maldives, Steven, and I just wanted to thank all our wonderful customers and industry colleagues who have sent me and our family messages of support, cards, flowers and even gifts, they have helped us enormously. Happy new year Maldives fans! And to kick off 2026, we have an extra-special offer to one of our very favourite islands, 5-star Hideaway Beach. It's a large island but with only 54 beach villas and 57 overwater villas, so there is lots of space between villas.

As its name suggests, Hideaway is in a wonderfully remote-feeling location, 75 minutes by seaplane from the airport (or you can choose a domestic flight instead), and has one of the liveliest and most-easily accessible house reefs we've seen, just a few metres from shore in places. It also has 3 restaurants included in HB, FB or All Inclusive, plus two more fine-dining restaurants which are chargeable (but with a discount), for an occasional splurge.
