Going to Disney World & Universal as a big group of friends was amazing. If you ever get a chance to go as a group, then you have to do it!
We always talked about it, but never thought we’d get the opportunity to actually go. But after I priced it all up, found the best rates and deals, we all jumped at the idea of a once in a lifetime friends trip to Orlando!
We flew with British Airways from Gatwick to Orlando International.
We opted to stay at Universal first, so I booked us a 4 night stay at Universal’s Endless Summer - Dockside Resort, with 14 day Universal Explorer park tickets.
The hotel was so nice, had a massive pool and a Starbucks in the lobby. What’s not to love?
The bus transfers to and from the park were super easy, and got us to and from City Walk in 10 minutes.
On day 5 we moved from Endless Summer over to Disney’s Pop Century Resort. This is one of my favourite resorts in Disney, not just because it’s got that Disney feel but because it also has the Skyliner transport. Having the Skyliner access is a game changer, and I would recommend paying that little bit more to stay in pop just for this.
We also had 14 day Disney tickets included in our stay, so as soon as we arrived we were straight over to the parks.
Now, with the ease of having Uber & Lyft you can easily leave Universal or Disney property to go for dinner, go to the outlets etc, so we took advantage of that. And Uber is so much cheaper over in Orlando.
We opted for a transfer from Disney over to the Airport. So I booked this in advance before the trip. This made it so easy for all 8 of us and all our bags and merchandise to get back to the airport. We didn’t have to worry about trying to cram it all into an uber because Mears Connect have you covered.
All in all, it was an amazing trip, and I would recommend to anyone, if you have the chance to do a friends or family group holiday… DO IT! you won’t regret it!
