✈️ Throwback... looking at this pic, I was so proud back then that I got my dream job!
Really thankful for the experience, the people I met, and the memories made along the way.

I’ve always loved travel, as travel is something everybody loves or is interested in, right? 🌍

Since leaving the airport, I’ve chosen a different way of staying connected to travel: helping others explore how they can travel more and create a lifestyle they enjoy.

If I could jump on a plane tomorrow, I'd choose Dubai. 🇦🇪✈️

It's been at the top of my travel wish list for years.

Maybe it's the sunshine. ☀️
Maybe it's the lifestyle.
Maybe it's because, from Dubai, I'd feel connected to both sides of my family — the Netherlands, where I grew up, and Indonesia, where my mum and dad were born.

I was speaking to a lady recently who has visited Dubai many times, and she said she prefers it over other destinations she's been to. So maybe I'm not the only one who feels drawn to it!

Sometimes we all need a change of scenery and a chance to recharge. 🌍

Her boyfriend embarrassed her…

Having worked at the airport for years, I saw many happy and stressed passengers — and one situation just before I left has stayed with me.

A young couple arrived to check in their luggage. Unfortunately, their suitcase was overweight.
They had two options: remove some items and leave them behind, or pay the excess baggage fee, which most people don’t really plan for before a trip.
The lady immediately started rearranging things to fix the problem.

What happened next made me uncomfortable.
No, it wasn't the bag — it was how her boyfriend reacted.
He became frustrated and started blaming her while she quietly tried to sort everything out.
She may have forgotten to check the airline’s baggage rules. That can happen, right?

Later, I said to a colleague:
“If I had a boyfriend and he spoke to me like that… I may be wrong, but don’t speak to me like that in front of others.”
He just laughed.

What do you think?
If your partner gets something wrong, is it ever okay to lose your temper in public, or would you handle it differently?

A gentle reminder: check baggage rules before you travel, and stay calm and kind when things don’t go to plan.

How much have you grown over the years to achieve what you really wanted in life?

This was taken in Greece years ago… I’m not 20 anymore, but I’m still smiling 😊

I was learning to waterski, falling many times, getting back up and trying again.
Life is like that.
We set goals. We fall. We learn. We keep going.

When I look at this photo, I don’t see someone younger — I see someone who kept going.

Over the years I worked at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport as a Security Officer and later flew with Royal Dutch Airlines. I moved to the UK in 2015 and worked at London Stansted Airport as cabin crew and in customer service.

Today I still work in travel, but in a way that gives me more freedom and flexibility.

I’m partnered with two companies that allow people to earn commission on travel bookings for themselves or for others and build an extra income around their lifestyle.

Most of all, I love helping people create more choices in life.

I thank God for every step of my journey and for the opportunities 🙏

✈️ "That could have been me working a Saturday shift."

Whilst waiting at the traffic lights today, a bus passed by and I recognised an airport ground handling uniform.

After nearly a decade in aviation and airport customer service I'm grateful for everything I learned and for having the freedom now to work around my life instead of living around my work. ✨

This morning I enjoyed a walk in the sunshine ☀️ listened to personal development 🎧 and reflected on how much can change when I decided to take a different path.

Not having to request time off for holidays or emergencies and hope it gets approved is something I don't have to stress about anymore.

What choice are you making to live the life you want? 💭
