When we say trekking in Europe is full of cultural experiences, we definitely mean the opportunity to eat some mountain food, melted cheeses and other delicious things (which taste even better when you’ve walked up a lot of hills!)

Each country brings its own specialities, and accommodations along the way offer a mix of traditional dishes.

Mountain refuges are not restaurants, and often their menus are limited by the food they can transport to these remote locations - sometimes by helicopter or mule. Often you will be given a set menu which is eaten in community with your fellow hikers ☺️

However, the huts menus vary a lot. Rostis, raclettes and tartifettes are not out of the question! Or maybe a little taste of alpine liquor, Génépi, if you’re feeling bold - or to take the edge of the aching legs! 😉

Which means yes, our guides are highly trained, extremely experienced, and completely committed to giving you a safe, professional experience in the mountains. But, we value a sense of humour too. So that not only will you summit the peak, but enjoy the journey along the way!
