Everyone must read !!!!

I need every traveller to read this !!!
Because right now, headlines are scaring people out of the very experiences they’ve worked years for.

And it needs to stop.

She was sitting at her kitchen table at 11pm, tears in her eyes, about to cancel the safari she'd been saving for since her divorce.
Three years of putting away £100 a month.

A promise she'd made to herself the day she signed the papers.
"I'm going to Kenya. For me."

And then she saw the headline........ Her heart sank as she placed her head in her hands.

"AIRPORT CHAOS: Hundreds of flights cancelled as travel disruption hits UK."

She called me in a panic.
"Should I cancel? I don't want to lose the money. I don't want to get stranded. What if..

I said:

"Stop. Let me tell you something nobody ever tells you about long-haul flights."

And what I told her changed everything.

✈️ HERE'S WHAT THE MEDIA NEVER MENTIONS
When a wide-body aircraft departs London for Nairobi or the Maldives, or Mauritius, or Mumbai it isn't just carrying passengers.
Under your feet?
Kenyan roses heading to Europe.
Life-saving pharmaceuticals on a cold chain.
Fresh seafood. Medical equipment. High-value cargo.
This isn’t small stuff. This is global supply chain level important.
And here’s the truth:
Airlines will protect those flights at almost any cost.
Because unlike passengers… some of that cargo has hours to live, not days.
So when cancellations happen?
Short-haul leisure routes (think London to Malaga on a bank holiday) are far more likely to be cut.

Currently I’m away on my own holiday to Marrakech 🇲🇦
This is the second time I’ve been here but honestly I’ve seen and experienced so much in just a few days. I’m staying in a traditional Riad in the heart of the city, and every morning a lovely lady comes and cooks us breakfast.
We’ve experienced a day at a ‘beach’ club, a day in the desert with pool pass, food and entertainment, drinks at a rooftop terrace overlooking the city, a jazz club hidden down an alley and currently I’m sat by a pool in a stunning 5* hotel in the Palmeraie area.
Tomorrow I’ll be out exploring the medina and getting a taste for all things cultural and traditional.
The food here is exceptional - and I’ll be coming home with lots of recommendations!

A lot of people choose Marrakech as a short city break and with a short flight time and so much to see and do, it really is perfect but if you can stay for longer you wouldn’t get bored! It’s also a great destination for multi stops and tours, with the Atlas Mountains and waterfalls nearby, or a few hours by car and you can enjoy some time by the coast in Essaouira or Agadir.

I’ve been quiet again here.. when life and work gets busy, social media takes a hit! School holidays are always a juggle with 3 kids and add into the mix lots of clients travelling, a crisis in the Middle East and multiple schedule changes and flight cancellations.. but I’m still here! Booking holidays, working on existing enquiries and helping people who’ve been affected by the current world affairs.
Today I came home to a lovely surprise from one of my clients, and it’s moments like this when I truly love what I do-knowing that I helped play a part in making sure they had the best holiday and taking the stress off their shoulders so they could just enjoy themselves ❤️

I love it when clients share their trips with me and this was no exception.. after weeks of wondering whether it would even go ahead and then a last minute flight cancellation after they’d checked in and were at the gate but they made it in the end!

Ok.. don’t hate me but I’m going to mention the C word 🤭
I’ve currently got enquiries coming in for 🎄🎅🏻which is great, but believe it or not availability for this year is already quite limited. Trips to Lapland get booked up as soon as dates are released, the main reason being it’s a bucket list trip and isn’t cheap!
People often need time to save up for it, and if you only plan to do it once you want to do it right!

When people come to me with a Lapland enquiry, there’s so many questions I have to ask so I can make sure you pick the right holiday for you (and I quote something suitable!)

For example-how old are the children? Lapland isn’t just one town or ‘Santa Village’, it’s a whole region, and depending on the age of the kids would determine the area I’d recommend you heading to.

Or what type of accommodation would you like? A lot of people love the idea of a cabin or igloo, but don’t necessarily think about the logistics. If you’ve got young children (and if they’re anything like mine!), when you’re half or full board it means suiting and booting in thermals every time you head to the main building for food, and can really create a lot of hassle for some people.

If you’re thinking about heading to Lapland this year or next, it’s never too early to book, and I promise I’ll ask all the right questions to make sure it really is that magical trip of a lifetime 💫

Yesterday was learning and celebrating! I was lucky enough to be invited to 2 fabulous events both courtesy of the amazing Domes Resorts. The day consisted of a Skuna at Canary Wharf (a floating igloo!) where we enjoyed a delicious chocolate fondue, whilst learning about Azamara Cruises, Latin Routes and of course the stunning Domes Hotels including several new resorts.

In the evening, I was invited to attend the Travel Gossip awards, recognising industry suppliers in different categories, all chosen by travel agents. Recognising all the hard work and effort that’s put in to curating amazing holidays.

It’s events and trainings like these that help me build relationships so I can help my clients have the best experience possible when they’re off on their holidays ❤️

Thank you again to Domes for inviting me to join your table! My feet are hurting today from all the dancing 😂
