CHASER ACTIVATION: Kent Storm Chasers and I will be heading out of the county to target East Anglia and the surface based risk there this afternoon, ahead of returning to Kent for the elevated storm risk.

Models are still in agreement for the early hours, now extending the risk through to 1000 hours BST on Saturday

Currently monitoring the situation for thunderstorms in our area of Kent overnight today and early doors tomorrow morning with Kent Storm Chasers. There is general agreement between the models of activity from 0000 hours, with the higher/better risk from 0300-0700 hours.

We shall continue to monitor and as it’s no longer the working week, I may actually get the opportunity to get out into the field!

Well that was an eventful long lived storm. Rain, thunder, lightning and a spot of weak rotation for good measure. What did you see of the storm as it passed over head?
