This Fabulous Great British Seaside Summer Show is a sparkling evening of talent in support of the YMCA Yorkshire Coast.

A fun variety show featuring hilarious comedy, thrilling magic, and exciting specialty acts from around England and Yorkshire including funny Humorist comic Philip Hoyles , wizardry magic by Tom Daws (dimple magic) the trailblazer vocalist Charlie Flintoft, human juke box Mick Liversidge, and Ivory tickler from Betty’s Tea Rooms in York Adam Sowter and much more. Top of the bill by the talent of the Norfolks own rising star Ronan Williams ect . All hosted by YMCA’s Thomas Atkinson and Yorkshire Entertainer Greg Sellers.

The show, produced by Jed Higgins, is raising funds to support the work of YMCA Yorkshire Coast. Every ticket and every cheer supports the YMCA and keeps the young people of our Yorkshire Coast community strong

Tonight’s supper was inspired by a gorgeous recipe from HARI HARBON, made all the more delicious with the most beautifully smooth peanut butter from The Yorkshire Nutter, lovingly made just down the road in Visit Malton. 🥜

I discovered my jar in The Patisserie Malton but you can also find this lovely Yorkshire-made goodness The Beecham Weigh also in Malton & The Old Weigh in Pickering! 🤎

Rich, creamy, wonderfully comforting, with a little kick of chilli & plenty of fresh herbs… every mouthful was an absolute delight! 🤤

A supper I’ll most definitely be making again… utterly scrumptious! 🍜✨

🍴🐾 A lovely little lunch spot in Scarborough!

Tucked away inside the beautiful Rowntree Lodge on West Street, kin.at.rowntree is a cosy little gem & the perfect place to stop for a bite to eat whilst exploring Scarborough! ☕🥪

With its welcoming atmosphere, lovely interiors & a menu full of delicious breakfast, brunch & lunch options, there’s something for everyone. From hearty cooked breakfasts & tasty lunch dishes to freshly brewed coffees & tempting homemade-style sweet treats! 🍰✨

I went for the savoury pancakes (DIVINE! 🤤) & my mum had their Yorkshire Rarebit – both absolutely delicious & clean plates all around! 😍🍽️

It’s dog friendly too! 🐶🐾

A little autumn outing to somewhere we always love returning to… 🍂🤎

A lovely few hours nunningtonstudios, beginning with hot drinks, a divine bacon sandwich & a little something sweet The Old Yard Coffee Shop, all homemade on site. Followed by a leisurely browse around the independent shops, including MŌR & Laura Meek where some beautiful Christmas pieces have started to appear. Just a little hint of festive magic amongst all the autumn loveliness. 🎄✨

I know the bridge closure over the next four weeks will make getting there a little trickier for some, which is such a shame for these wonderful independent businesses. So, if you can, please do make the extra effort to visit and show them some love! ❤️ These lovely little places rely on our support, especially during times like this, & I can promise you they’re well worth the journey. 🍂🤎

The afternoon continued with a misty walk Ampleforth Abbey, looking particularly atmospheric with its beautiful old buildings half-hidden in the fog. An eerie stillness hung over the grounds, giving everything a rather haunting, almost otherworldly feel. Quite fitting for Halloween… 🎃🍂🖤

The Abbey has also been celebrating Apple Week, making the most of its wonderful orchards, where the apples are grown to produce their delicious Ampleforth Abbey c***r. They even had an ‘Apple Olympics’ set up outside, which looked SO much fun! 🍎🍏 Such a lovely way to celebrate the season & the Abbey’s apple-growing heritage.

I also spotted a little drinks shop & couldn’t resist treating myself to a bottle of their very own mulled apple c***r! 🍎🍷 I’m saving this one for a proper winter’s day, when it’s so bitterly cold I can barely feel my fingers. I can just imagine how lovely it’ll be, gently warmed & enjoyed somewhere cosy after a chilly walk. The perfect little winter warmer! 🤎

And another lovely discovery… there’s now a dedicated dog-friendly area inside the Abbey tearooms, where visitors can enjoy a little refreshment with their four-legged companions. Such a brilliant & very welcome addition to what is already a lovely place to stop for a cuppa! 🐾🤎

🌟 Kitchen porter and service assistants wanted! 🌟

We are looking for multiple reliable and enthusiastic people to join our small, friendly team.

You’ll support the kitchen and front of house teams, help keep work areas clean and organised, and contribute to a welcoming experience for our guests.
Previous experience is welcome but not essential, as training will be provided.

Applicants must:

* Be 16 or older
* Be available to work weekends and occasional mid week shifts
* Have a positive attitude and enjoy working as part of a team
* Be able to get to and from work reliably, as we don’t have any public transport nearby.

You all know how much I love a good farm shop, & today we went to somewhere rather exciting! 🤎🌿

Five Houses, near Stokesley, nestled on the beautiful Crathorne Estate in North Yorkshire.

With a butchery heritage dating back to 1693, the Kitson family certainly know a thing or two about good food! The farm shop opened in 2017, bringing together traditional butchery, local produce & plenty of lovely artisan finds. ❤️

Inside, the shelves were filled with gorgeous goodies, from pantry favourites & preserves to fresh bread & sweet treats. I was busy gathering ingredients for my next batch of homemade pumpkin soup! 🎃🍂

There’s also a lovely café, perfect for a coffee or a spot of lunch. ☕️

My favourite moment was watching the fresh savoury pies being prepared whilst queuing to pay for my goodies. They looked absolutely delicious! 🥧

Another lovely countryside find, with a basket full of fresh ingredients & a cosy day of soup making to look forward to! 🍂
