A little life update… and something I didn’t expect!

I’ve been a bit quiet on here lately — but very busy behind the scenes creating some incredible holidays ✈️

This week I was in Manchester for our Travel Counsellors conference at the beautiful Kimpton Clocktower. A day full of business updates, marketing ideas and all the latest destination trends… always such a great reset, a boost of inspiration and lovely to catch up with so many people. Lets just say my cup was filled! 🥰

But the biggest surprise… I was called up by our CEO to collect a recognition award 🥹

This was for supporting a client through a major period of disruption (Middle East crisis) and helping to save their dream Australia trip — which also happened to be my biggest booking to date at £43,000. I managed to safely reroute them to avoid the Middle East, and even turned the change into an exciting extended stopover experience at not extra cost to them.

Moments like this are exactly why I do what I do. When things don’t go to plan, having someone in your corner to problem-solve, reassure and rebuild your trip really does make all the difference.

Behind the scenes, April and May have been non-stop — from long-haul, tailor-made itineraries for 2027 & 2028, to family holidays, cruises and everything in between.

And next week… I’m swapping my laptop for sunshine ☀️ heading to Kalkan with 11 family members for half term (wish me luck 😅)

The destinations everyone is booking right now… and the numbers don’t lie.

From bucket list trips like Japan to European favourites like Majorca and Paris, travel demand is soaring across the board.

✨️ Long-haul is booming

✨️ Short-haul isn’t slowing down

✨️ Cruise and Adventure & Touring also continues to rise

And those 'one day we'll go there' trips? They’re being booked now too.

If one of these is on your list, it’s worth planning early — the best availability never hangs around. I am already making bookings for 2027, and in some cases particularly for cruise - even 2028.

If you’ve seen recent reports about jet fuel supplies and are wondering whether your travel plans could be affected, the good news is they shouldn’t be.

The UK Government have confirmed that UK airlines are not facing a jet fuel shortage. Flights are operating as normal, airlines purchase fuel well in advance, (months and months) and airports have robust reserves and contingency plans in place.

In addition, major UK tour operators (Jet2 Holidays, TUI and EasyJet) confirmed this week that there will be no fuel surcharges applied to existing or new bookings.

In short, there is no reason to change, delay, or hesitate when making your travel plans.

A full 21-night tailor-made Canada itinerary has just been confirmed for my clients — and the best part?

Not a single change from my original proposal 🙌

These new clients came to me with a very simple brief: 3 weeks (give or take), the Canadian Rockies, and a self-drive adventure. No fixed budget, total trust in my ideas… honestly, a dream enquiry..

🚗 A stunning road trip through the Rockies including:
• Calgary
• Banff, Lake Louise & Jasper
