🚢✨ LEGENDS OF THE SEAS – MY HONEST REVIEW! ✨🚢
If you’ve been following my posts over the last couple of weeks, you’ll know I’ve been sharing a little bit about my experience onboard Royal Caribbean’s Legends of the Seas.
Well, after experiencing her for myself, I can honestly say…
WOW! 🤩
From the moment we stepped onboard, I was blown away. This was my first experience of an Icon Class ship, and for our family, with teenagers, it was pretty much perfect.
I’ve sailed on Oasis Class before and I actually felt Legends was a step up.
One of my biggest concerns before I sailed was the size of the ship. I wondered whether having so many people onboard would make it feel crowded and chaotic — but actually, it rarely felt busy.
I think that’s because the ship is so cleverly divided into different areas, each with its own feel.
🌴 Chill Island – pools, whirlpools and bars
🌊 Surfside – aimed at younger children with splash zones, arcades and play areas
🎢 Thrill Island – waterpark, mini golf, climbing wall and surf simulator
🍹 The Hideaway – adults only, with a pool, cocktails and an afternoon DJ
🌿 Central Park – a much more peaceful area with over 30,000 real plants
☕ AquaDome – spectacular views and a lovely place for a coffee or cocktail
🛍️ Royal Promenade – shops, bars, restaurants and plenty going on
🎭 And the entertainment… WOW!
Without a doubt, some of the best entertainment I’ve experienced on a cruise ship.
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was West End standard, and the diving and ice skating shows were spectacular.
Then you have duelling pianos, jazz, karaoke, the sports bar and so much more. You could easily be onboard for a week and still not experience everything!
🍕 Food-wise, there is SO much choice.
The buffet was excellent, AquaDome Market had everything from tapas and Asian food to crepes, and the pizzas, burgers and burritos were fantastic.
Pearl Café was also brilliant for 24-hour snacks, sandwiches, cakes and coffee.
The main dining room was nice, although I wouldn’t say it was amazing. Our waiters were fantastic, though, and the staff throughout the ship were friendly, professional and always happy to help.
🏨 Our Infinity Balcony cabin was modern, beautifully finished and everything felt brand new.
⭐ So, my verdict?
I absolutely loved Legends of the Seas!
It’s definitely now one of my favourite cruise ships and, in my opinion, is particularly fantastic for families with kids and teens.
That said, I don’t think it will suit everyone.
It’s a HUGE ship, and because of its size, the itinerary options are more limited as it can’t get into some of the smaller ports.
So if your priority is visiting lots of different destinations, and you like a quiet small ship there may be better options.
But if you’re looking for an incredible ship, fantastic entertainment, loads of activities, great facilities and plenty to do, then I would definitely consider Legends of the Seas. 🚢❤️
If you’re thinking about booking Legends and aren’t sure which cabin or itinerary would suit you, drop me a message — I’d be happy to help. 😊
