Some Spanish airports are no longer accepting the UK Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Lanyard for access to Aena’s assisted security lanes.

Passengers with hidden disabilities can now apply for an Aena Invisible Disability Badge instead ♿💙

The badge can help with:
✅ Access to dedicated assistance security lanes (where available)
✅ Support through general security
✅ Easier identification for airport staff
✅ One badge can cover a family or travel group

Please note:
❌ It is not Fast Track
❌ Security checks still apply
📅 The badge is only valid for your day of travel

What an amazing few days at the CLIA Cruise Conference in Southampton! 🚢✨

One of my biggest takeaways from the event was: “There is a cruise for everyone.” It was incredibly beneficial learning more about some of the smaller, lesser-known cruise lines, while also continuing to build relationships with the larger, well-known brands.

Training is such an important part of my industry, and I’m so grateful to have opportunities like this to learn, grow, and stay up to date with everything cruising has to offer.

I also had the chance to step onboard both P&O Britannia and Celebrity Apex — reviews of these beautiful ships will follow once I’ve had time to recover and rejuvenate after a non-stop 4 days! 😅⚓

Today I'm heading off to the CLIA Conference, Europe's largest cruise industry event, where I'll be spending the next few days learning about the latest cruise news, meeting suppliers, and touring some amazing ships.

I'll have limited access to messages until Sunday, but I will still be available for any urgent travel emergencies.

From Wednesday to Saturday, I'll be attending the CLIA Conference, the largest annual travel agent event of its kind in Europe dedicated to cruising.

The conference includes industry business sessions, a networking trade fair, and some fantastic ship visits. I'll have the opportunity to tour both P&O Cruises' Britannia and Celebrity Cruises' Celebrity Apex, and I can't wait to expand my cruise knowledge, discover the latest cruise news, and bring back plenty of insights for my clients.

💭 Is a drinks package on Royal Caribbean worth it?

Short answer: it depends how much you drink 🍹🥤🍺

There are usually a few options:
• Soda package
• Refreshment package (mocktails, coffees, soft drinks etc.)
• Deluxe/alcohol package 🍸

The alcohol package often works out worth it if you’re having roughly:
🍺 5–6 beers a day
🍷 4–5 glasses of wine
🍹 Or a few cocktails plus coffees/water/soft drinks throughout the day

Here’s my example 👇

We booked 🛳️ Legend of the Seas for this summer and originally saw the drinks package “on offer” at 25% off. After doing the maths I decided it wasn’t worth it and just bought the soda package.

BUT… I kept checking the prices.

Yesterday the alcohol package dropped to 45% off 🎉 and suddenly it became worth it for us — so I cancelled the soda package and rebooked with the alcohol package instead.

💡 Top tip: Royal Caribbean packages can usually be cancelled and rebooked if the price drops, so it’s definitely worth keeping an eye on sales before your cruise!

The last couple of weeks have been busy with cruise ships arriving into Belfast, and I was delighted to be invited onboard the beautiful Majestic Princess for a tour and lunch. 🚢✨
I have to say — this ship really impressed me. It has such a luxurious feel throughout, and the food was fantastic. Having been refitted last year, everything felt incredibly fresh, modern, and stylish.
Majestic Princess is a mid-sized ship carrying around 3,500 guests, with plenty of amazing indoor and outdoor spaces to enjoy. One of my favourite features was the covered pool area — definitely a bonus for UK & Ireland sailings! ☀️🌧️
The Medallion technology onboard is also brilliant — your cabin door unlocks as you approach, drinks can be delivered straight to your sunbed, and so much more. It’s those little personal touches that really make Princess Cruises stand out.
I think Princess Cruises are especially well suited to couples and multigenerational families. While they don’t have the big slides and large-scale attractions you’d find on some Royal Caribbean or MSC ships, the atmosphere felt very family friendly. The kids’ clubs were extremely spacious with lots of activities, and the teens’ club was a fantastic hangout space with table tennis, air hockey, games consoles and more. 🎮🏓
