📍 Rixos Radamis Sharm El Sheikh
As if Rixos needed to go any bigger… they’ve only gone and dropped Aquamania Jungle Park. And I don’t say this lightly - it’s outrageous. We’re talking the size of five football pitches, packed with everything from proper high-speed, scream-on-the-way-down slides to calmer splash zones for the little legends. It’s one of those places where you think you’re booking a hotel… but really, you’re booking a full-blown theme park holiday with sunbeds.

📍 Rixos Premium Magawish Bay View
This one’s effortless. The Mykonos restaurant alone is worth the trip - beachfront, Mediterranean plates, fresh seafood, and that golden-hour glow that makes you forget what day it is. I’d time dinner purely for sunset here… it’s one of those “this is why I booked this holiday” moments. And a little insider tip: staying here quietly unlocks access to Rixos Premium Magawish Suites & Villas too… which feels like you’ve just upgraded your holiday without lifting a finger 🤫

📍 Swissotel Sharm El Sheikh
Now this is the hidden gem. It’s got that slick, modern Swissotel finish (so everything just feels done properly), but still delivers on the bits that matter on holiday - big pools, easy beach access, and food that doesn’t feel like an afterthought by day three. What I rate most? It’s calm. Like, properly switch-off calm. The kind of place where you wake up, wander down for breakfast, and suddenly it’s 4pm and you’ve done absolutely nothing… in the best possible way.

Recently, Martin Lewis highlighted how booking flights and hotels separately can leave travellers exposed if something goes wrong.

He’s absolutely right.

If you book separately, your flight and hotel don’t work together - so if your flight gets cancelled, you can be left sorting it (and paying for it) yourself.

With a package holiday, it works differently.

Under the Package Travel Regulations, if your flight is cancelled and your holiday can’t go ahead, you’re entitled to:

✈️ An alternative
💸 Or a full refund (usually within 14 days)

That protection is already built in.

🏨 Dosinia Luxury Resort (I found deals here from £333pp)
This is the one I’d book when I want things to feel a bit more special. You’ve got five pools, a splash park if you’ve got kids in tow, and enough bars to keep things interesting from morning coffee to late-night cocktails. It leans slightly more relaxed, slightly more “we’ve come here to switch off properly”… with the option to dial it up when you fancy it.

🏨 Grand Ring Hotel (I found deals here from £288pp)
Then this one’s all about energy. Private beach, loads going on all day (Zumba, pool games, the lot), and it doesn’t really slow down... there’s literally a disco till 2am!! It’s the kind of place where you start the day thinking “quiet one today” and end up three cocktails deep watching a show and singing along to every word.

Our honest recommendations:
If you want a bit more calm with your luxury 👉 Dosinia Luxury Resort
If you want 5-star value and vibes 👉 Grand Ring Hotel

Either way… you’re looking at five-star Antalya for under £350pp, which is easily one of the best-value jollies in Turkey (and Europe!) right now.

7 reasons to pick Sol House Mallorca 🇪🇸 (from someone who’s stayed in more hotels than days of the year)

If you’re looking at Mallorca and thinking you want a fun, easy, no-regrets hotel then this is one I’d seriously consider.

Here’s why 👇

1️⃣ The atmosphere is the whole point
This isn’t a quiet, read-your-book-by-the-pool kind of place. It’s DJs, drinks, people actually chatting to each other. If you want a social holiday - this nails it.

2️⃣ It’s adults-only (which changes everything)
No kids. No inflatable unicorn traffic jams… Okay maybe a few. But this place just a more grown-up, relaxed energy, even when it’s lively.

3️⃣ The location is genuinely spot on
Couple of minutes to the beach. Close to the strip if you want it… but far enough that you’re not hearing it all night. That balance is hard to find around here.

4️⃣ The rooms are built for groups
Bigger than you’d expect, loads of twin options, proper space to get ready. You’re not all fighting over one mirror before a night out.

5️⃣ Pool scene > beach scramble
You don’t need to wake up at 7am to “claim” a sunbed. Music on, drinks flowing, good vibe all day. It’s where most people actually spend their time.

6️⃣ It’s designed to be easy
Check-in, food, drinks, getting around - it all just works. No overthinking, no friction. Turn up and slip into holiday mode immediately.

7️⃣ It gets the balance right
This is the big one. It’s fun, but not messy. Lively, but not overwhelming. Social, but not forced.

Dalaman Explained 🇹🇷 (by a holiday expert)

If you’re looking at Turkey and thinking “where do I even start?” Dalaman is one of the easiest answers.

You fly into Dalaman Airport and within about an hour (sometimes less), you’re in some of the best holiday spots in the country.

But here’s the bit most people miss: the area you pick completely changes the kind of holiday you have.

Marmaris 🌴 If you want lively, loads going on, bit of everything. Think beach days, boat trips, bars, old town. It’s a proper all-rounder.

Icmeler 🌊 Same coastline, just more relaxed. Amazing beaches, more breathing room, ideal if you want chill without being bored.

Olu Deniz 🪂 That blue lagoon you’ve seen everywhere
Mountains, paragliders, unreal views. Easily one of the most stunning places you’ll go.

Fethiye ⚓ More authentic Turkiye. Harbour, markets, proper restaurants. Less “resort”, more “real place”.

Hisaronu 🍸 Small but lively. Great nightlife, social, perfect for couples or groups who want fun without chaos.

Sarigerme 🏖️ Switch off immediately. Closest to the airport, long sandy beach, mostly all-inclusive. Easy.
