Massive shoutout to our incredible instructor Sabrina who rescued THREE members of the public caught in a rip current yesterday! Her quick thinking and professional training made all the difference.

If you’re caught in a current? Here’s what to do:

🏄‍♂️ Stay on your board - it’s your lifeline and keeps you afloat

🏊‍♀️ Don’t panic - currents won’t pull you under, just out to sea

🌊 Swim parallel to shore until you’re out of the current, then swim back at an angle

🚩 Always choose lifeguarded beaches - trained professionals like Sabrina are there when you need them most

At Outer Reef, our instructors aren’t just surf coaches they’re qualified lifeguards with 25+ years of water safety expertise. We’ve trained Beach lifeguards for over 20+ years, and moments like today remind us why safety always comes first.

Sabrina, you’re an absolute legend! 🙌
