Most people check their passport expiry date and assume they’re good to go. Unfortunately, it’s not always that simple.

Different destinations can have different requirements around passport validity, visa rules and entry requirements — and these can change over time.

Tucked away in the heart of Karlstad, my recent stay at was the perfect blend of boutique luxury and laid-back Scandinavian charm ✨

I stayed in a Standard Double Room – beautifully designed, cosy, and ideal for a short stay – but it’s worth noting there are larger room categories available if you’re looking to elevate your experience even further.

I didn’t get the chance to experience the spa this time due to a short stay, but it’s definitely one of the hotel’s standout features and something I’d prioritise on my next visit 🧖‍♀️

And let’s talk about the food & drink 🍸
From beautifully presented dishes to a great atmosphere, it’s the kind of place you don’t even need to leave in the evening.

Karlstad itself is such a hidden gem – set on the shores of Sweden’s largest lake, it offers that perfect mix of nature, waterfront views, and a relaxed city feel 🌿
