Finally coming up for air after the intensity of the past few weeks following the surprise album announcement.

What a privilege to be entrusted in keeping such a massive secret for the past months.

I am so happy that Neurosis has found a way forward and what a masterpiece! Sublime, soul affirming, hopeful, galvanising and so creative!

Thank you for your trust, and it’s been deeply joyful to lap up all the reactions and thoughtful reviews and I cannot wait to see what comes next.

The good people asked me to highlight some records that held artistic or emotional value for me / returned to the most this year, so I put a little something together (link in bio).

Paid a visit to the Nine Ladies of Stanton Moor this weekend to bask in the winter sun and romp around the Derbyshire moors.

Still thinking about Saturday too, another top tier event with some great talks and live performances (I bloomin’ love ) and I’m still giddy that we got to jig merrily with .morris Plus bonus hangouts with Meyer of the West Midlands and meeting the lovely Russ Slater Johnson. What a weekend!

Also, Drag Night at the Druid’s Inn? Love that! Giving me another reason to go back to the homelands soon again!

Visiting - purportedly England’s Oldest Tourist Attraction, open since 1630. Also the legendary birthplace of England’s most famous prophetess. A place of geological wonder and Autumn splendour.

This week I am celebrating 15 years of Rarely Unable PR and to mark the occasion (which frankly, feels massive to me) my incredible and generous friend commissioned one of my favourite artists to create an original poster including some of the many wonderful bands, artists, labels and events I’ve had the pleasure of representing.

It is an unbelievable gesture and a truly S T U N N I N G work of art.

Honestly, I cannot look at it without getting very emotional 😭 and when it’s often all to easy to focus on the negatives or the weight of the challenges, this wonderful print is something that I can treasure forever and feel super proud of, whatever comes next.

P U R E J O Y ✨

Some highlights from my recent trip to Toronto and Montreal with my sister from another mister

In Toronto we made the absolute most of the city with frolics around the city, and also Toronto Island on bikes, plus a bonus day trip to Niagara Falls in between festival-ing. Thanks to Eric Chenaux for his food recommendations which were so on point.

Montreal stole my heart, it felt like a glorious pilgrimage visiting my (extended and ever growing) Constellation family for the first time in almost 20 years and finally seeing some epic parts of the city’s musical history. Also meeting with my beloved BIG | BRAVERs who have also been in my life some 15 years (wow!), Backxwash and all of the new friends I’ve made in the city since. Totally appreciative of the immense hospitality, incredible hang outs, plus a bonus jaunt to the countryside for swims and roaming about in nature (even if I did get eaten alive by bugs - worth it!). Would go back there in a heartbeat.

Not pictured are all of beautiful people who I had the pleasure of spending absolute quality time with - in both cities - you’ve made my heart and soul feel so very full!

Plus an appreciation slide for some of the amazing food we ate!

Rocks, rocks and more rocks.
Finally made it last weekend to Brimham Rocks in North Yorkshire where I’ve wanted to go for ages. They have great names like Dancing Bear and the Druid’s Writing Desk. Plus a bonus side quest to the model village of Saltaire and Salts Mills to peep at some David Hockney art.
Day trip of dreams.

My scene report from

brought great energy (and eye catching outfits)

has an incredible presence and brilliantly belted through some ballads in various dialect

Bunty and George are an absolute delight, such lovely and generous souls, and I cannot wait to take them up on their kind offer of a visit and wander sometime

I need to invest in a cassette player so that I can get my hands on everything has to offer

And, when I finally fulfil my goal and create my own Well Dressing - as per the local custom in the village where I grew up - I WILL NOT try and design faces. I do not possess the skill set for that, and poor Chesterfield Council will never live down their Well Dressing of Princess Diana (world famous for all the wrong reasons)

Enormous thanks again to Russ for allowing me to participate in the day, revel in local customs and make new friends.
