Not that my phone is listening to me or anything… but I was just saying I’m so looking forward to seeing my lovely friend Lydia in two days in Cannes.

We met on Explora I three years ago, when Lydia was resident guest artiste singing and I was (and am) Luminary speaker, and we’ve had many adventures and become close since and met up in various countries.

Ship friends are the best friends!

Had anyone seen Lydia perform? She’s fabulous!

A few little moments from today in Villefranche-sur-Mer 🇫🇷

Colourful streets, boats in the harbour, hidden stairways, gorgeous beach, flowers everywhere, and some very pretty views across the bay.

It’s always lovely coming back here and spending time in one of the prettiest little spots on the Riviera.

My journey back to Explora I, flying from the UK back to Barcelona.

I love when you’re in the plane ✈️ and you feel the plane take off 🛫 and when you’re up in the clouds ☁️

Back on board Explora Journeys and sailing away from Barcelona on Explora I yesterday evening.

So lovely to be back on this beautiful ship and reunited with so many wonderful host (crew) friends already — lots of hugs and warm welcomes waiting for us onboard.

Day 1 highlights: a stunning sunset sailaway from Barcelona, the Captain’s Welcome Reception with a wee toast to the voyage, and the fabulous new cast performing Motor City, the Motown production show. I also gave my in-depth port talk on Marseille and the surrounding area… although sadly there are no photos because a certain husband forgot to take any. 😆

Now it’s time for bed before heading off to Aix-en-Provence in the morning.

It feels very good to be back, and I’m ready for a wonderful two weeks onboard.

Anyone onboard?
