It’s the 540th anniversary of the Battle of Bosworth today, where Henry Tudor defeated King Richard III. The end of the Plantagenet dynasty and the beginning of the age of the Tudors, it’s seen by many historians as the end of the Middle Ages.

Why not celebrate with a slice of very fine Bosworth Field upasturised cheese from ? It’s made with milk from cows grazed on the actual field where the battle was fought. About was close as you can get to the battle without digging up a car park in Leicester.

We feature it on our walking food tour of Melton. A couple of spaces left on the September tour, and bookings open to the end of the year.

Brilliant day showing friends old & new around Lincoln on our tour yesterday. Thanks to George , Ben and Antonio for making our guests feel so welcome. Oh and a well deserved pint of Bass at the afterwards. Bookings still open for Bank Holiday weekend, and the rest of the year. Link in bio.
