Have you visited The Cairn Distillery in Grantown ? Built & Owned by Gordon & MacPhail Whisky , it sits on the banks of the River Spey. This was our first stop a few weeks ago after picking the group up from The Speyside Hotel.

It was our first time going on the tour, which gives you an in depth history of the company and where they see the future of this distillery.

Worth the wait ... we had a ticket to tour Tormore distillery back in 2017 but couldn't make it.

When we got the chance to make it this year, we were looking forward to seeing what lies behind the fantastic structure.

The Tormore Open Day at Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival 2025 was well worth the wait. The place was busy even the drizzly rain couldn't dampen the spirits.

We enjoyed a look inside the Cathedral like distillery and took in the height of the building.

We haven't had the chance to enjoy the drivers drams yet but looking at the happy faces inside the filling house, we are sure not to be disappointed.

We can't wait to see how the story of Tormore develops under Elixir Distillers
