Inspiration for new work. No Nonsense Theatre has just won a commission to create new work for the Victoria & Albert Museum, based on the work of Beatrix Potter. Performances will take place in August & September this year, with further dates to be confirmed for 2015. Will keep you posted. We are very excited and begin work in April.

From a land far, far away, No Nonsense Theatre brings you a story of an unlikely friendship between a boy and an elephant.

Please come and share the magic of this beautiful tale as we reach the end of our Research & Development of THE ELEPHANT (working title). We invite you to share in our work, give feedback and consider THE ELEPHANT for your venue from autumn 2013 (subject to further funding).

The piece is supported by Arts Council England, Z-Arts, Puppet Centre, London, The Lowry Theatre, Salford and No Nonsense Theatre is in consultation with Dr Maggie Esson Education Programmes Manager, Chester Zoo.
Mentored by Bob Frith, Horse & Bamboo & Natasha Holmes, Tell Tale Hearts.

Just returned from the most amazing meeting at Chester Zoo as part of No Nonsense Theatre's ELEPHANT Research & Development. Saw the most adorable 2-week old elephant and had the opportunity to film, photograph and ask millions of questions to the lovely Emily (zoo keeper) and Dr. Maggie Esson who knows EVERYTHING about the Assam Elephant. Just one BIG sorry to my lovely Ollie (age 5) who wanted to come with his Oma - couldn't really understand why he couldn't take the day off school.
