W2 MIDDLESBROUGH - OUR HONEST REVIEW! 👀

We visited W2 in Middlesbrough for an evening meal while visiting family, and honestly… there was SO much choice! 😍

From different cuisines to desserts, there was something for everyone and for how busy it was, we were really impressed with how clean, tidy and well kept everything was. 👌

We really enjoyed our visit and would definitely say it’s a great option when we’re down visiting family. ❤️

Would we go back? YES!

THINKING ABOUT OUR NEXT EXTREME DAY TRIP…

After our Dublin trip, we’ve got the travel bug again! 😂

We’re now thinking about doing an extreme day trip to a Christmas market!

But where should we go?! 👀

Has anyone actually done an extreme day trip to a Christmas market before? If so, where did you go and would you recommend it?

We want somewhere that feels really festive, has a gorgeous Christmas market, good food and plenty to see and do! 🥰

As we wrap up our time in Dublin, here’s our honest review… ☘️

We want to share the good AND the not-so-good with you, so here goes! 👇

THE GOOD
Guinness Storehouse – definitely worth the money! It took up most of our day and we loved it.

The extreme day trip – great timings, setting off at 8am and getting back to Newcastle around 9pm.

Penneys (Irish Primark) – absolutely HUGE! We loved having a wander around and doing some shopping for Emily’s birthday 🎂

THE NOT-SO-GOOD
Ryanair customer service wasn’t great, which was disappointing.

Dublin itself felt quite run down in places and it was VERY expensive.

Unfortunately, we didn’t feel particularly safe as tourists in the city centre.

Overall… would we go back? Probably not.

But we’d definitely like to explore a quieter, more scenic part of Ireland one day 🇮🇪💚

After our meal, it was time to head back to the airport for our 7:10pm flight home! ❤️

We grabbed a taxi back, which cost us €32, then headed through the airport and found a lovely Butler’s Chocolate Café ☕️

We grabbed a seat, rested our very tired legs and waited for our flight!

By this point, we were both absolutely knackered! 😂😴

Once we’d finished our Guinness, we suddenly realised we hadn’t eaten since our early breakfast at the airport! 😂

So we headed to the restaurant inside the Guinness Storehouse and had a beautiful meal. 😍

The meal came to £50 for the two of us… and by this point, I was on my third pint of Guinness! 🍺😂

Let’s just say I was definitely starting to feel like a Guinness expert! 🤣

After our tasting session, we had a look around the Guinness Storehouse before heading up to the 7th floor to collect our FREE Guinness! 🍻

This was Emily’s first ever pint of Guinness… and she actually didn’t mind it! 😂

The views were absolutely beautiful, and luckily we managed to grab a seat. It was SO busy and really warm, though! 🥵
