A client got their checkout dates mixed up, which means I’m back on the cleaning grind after all! 🧹

I was ready for a little rest, but the cleaning fairy had other plans! 😅

Thank you to Joe cleaning three lodges today so that I can focus on my admin tasks! 💪

Think I will need a new file for my schedules! It's looking a little grim!

I tried using Google calendar and missed a changeover (first and only one in 4 years 😬) so I'm back to using paper 📃 and pen 🖊 📅 Prefer it anyway! 🙂

🏠THE ONE THAT STARTED IT ALL…🏠

Back in 2022, this was my very first holiday let. The one that started Nordic Cleaning Services. ❤️

Just me, a dream and absolutely no idea what I was letting myself in for! 😂

I remember thinking, “I’ll just take on a few holiday lets…” 🤣

Well… that escalated quickly.

Fast forward to now and we’ve got a team, lots of properties, countless changeovers, back-to-backs, early mornings, late finishes and enough toilet rolls to build a small extension. 🧻🧻🧻

But this particular holiday let will always hold a very different place in my heart.

It’s not just where my business began. It’s also where I was in June when I received the phone call from a hospital in Sweden telling me that my mam had died. 💔

So when I look at this photo, I see so much more than the first holiday let I ever cleaned. I see the beginning of something I worked incredibly hard to build, but I also remember one of the hardest moments of my life. 😭

Life really does throw everything at you.

Some days you’re building a business, making beds and wondering how on earth you’ve ended up with this many changeovers… 😂 and other days, your whole world changes in a single phone call.

From one little holiday let in 2022 to where we are today… what a journey it’s been.

And through all of it, I’m still here, still cleaning, still building, still making those beds look bloody gorgeous. 🛏️😂❤️

Never underestimate where that first little “yes” can take you.

Nordic Cleaning Services started with one holiday let. 🤍
