Reintroducing one of Rome’s greatest generals – Julius Caesar.

For over two millennia, this general has been remembered. From the emperors of Rome taking his surname to it becoming the title given to monarchs in Germany (“Kaiser”) and Bulgaria and Russia (“Tsar”).

What’s more to say about this general?

Well, for one, he was a ruler with absolute power. Yes, you read that correctly.

One of history’s most famous leaders held absolute power.

… and yet, he was never loathed by the masses. In fact, one could argue he was a revolutionary leader. His enemies included the elites and the Senate, who challenged a man seen as a king. A threat to the social order.

This story resonates with what we’re doing at Vigatour.

Happy Monday, everyone!

As we approach the middle of October and celebrate Black History Month here in the UK, it’s a time to reflect on the incredible individuals who have shaped the course of history. 🌍

Today, we’re honouring Dr Martin Luther King Jr, one of the most iconic leaders of the civil rights movement. His famous “I Have a Dream” speech, delivered on 28th August 1963, continues to inspire generations and remind us all of the power of unity, equality and justice.

Thanks to leaders like Dr King, the world is more open to embracing racial and cultural diversity. However, the journey for equality is far from over and it’s up to all of us to continue the work he began. ✊🏽

At Vigatour, we’re passionate about preserving the rich cultural identities of all people, regardless of race, ethnicity or creed. Our mission is to become a virtual embodiment of equality, ensuring that the tapestry of global history is not only remembered but celebrated.
