Happy International Women’s Day 🌍💖

Feeling incredibly grateful to be part of a business surrounded by so many supportive, inspiring women. Women lifting women, cheering each other on & creating opportunities not just for themselves but for others too.

The travel industry is about opening doors to the world, but for me it’s also about opening doors for women to build something for themselves, whether that’s extra income, flexibility, confidence or the chance to dream bigger.

𝙋𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙚𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙑𝙞𝙨𝙞𝙩:

Get your steps in and Walk from Mina district (instaworthy vibrant neighborhood, painted in an array of striking colours)
From Mina pass by box park & across the park to Flag plaza (a display of 119 flags) Flag plaza is in walking distance from Mia park & the Museum of Islamic art.

Take a walk along dhow harbour & across to Souk Waqif. The souk is a traditional marketplace to eat local food & shop for souvenirs. Here you’ll see the falcons & Camels.

Another recommended place is Qanat Quarter, a Venice inspired neighbourhood, with shops & chic eateries & coffee shops. You can even take a canal boat ride.

Katara Cultural Village is a hub for cultural activities. Here you’ll see locals dancing & singing on the waterfront, shops, an open amphitheater, an opera house, a multi-purpose cinema & katara beach.

Banana island resort - for a little bit of luxury
West Bay Beach - free access with some hotels, check with your hotel to see if free beach access is included
Doha Beach Club

𝙋𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙚𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙀𝙖𝙩 & 𝘿𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙠:

Raffles hotel - Afternoon tea, you need to book but it is well worth it.
The Italian job - for authentic homemade pizza & bread (and a good watermelon daiquiri)
Damasca restaurant - Arabic cuisine at the souk. Sit outside and people watch in the middle of the souk
Desert rose - grab a cold drink and sit outside and take in the passers by at the souk
Melia Doha - stop by here for a nice quiet coffee on the water front at qanat quarter
Tropicana 360 - rooftop bar for views of the city. Visit during Happy hour

I stayed at Radisson blu hotel - free return airport shuttle bus & free beach access at WBB
