We know many have been nervous to come to the Islands this summer with Ferry issues in the News. Thankfully the ferry service to North Uist has been running the usual Summer timetable for some weeks now and we have been grateful for that. ⛴️👍
Here at “ The Old Shop” our comfortable holiday Accommodation has availability and a warm Welcome awaits. We still have a week in June, 2 in July and 3 in August which is very unusual (Minimum stay is 3 nights).

Good news for any one wanting a holiday or short stay on the stunning island of Grimsay North Uist.
“The Old Shop” previously only available with weekend arrival and departures now offers a midweek option and a minimum stay of 3 nights. This offers ferry flexibility and short stays. A beautiful location and very comfortable accommodation.

We’ve been noticing a lot of birds returning this week bringing the promise of Spring - Curlew, Oyster Catcher, Redwing and others.
But it’s these two who have captivated us with live footage from right inside the nest.
White tailed Sea Eagles are regularly seen in the sky here but to get this close is a rare privilege.

New Boat, new Season, same wonderful wildlife experience in our local waters.
Welcome to the harbour “Amarisa” here’s to a good year 🛥️🦅🐬

New Season, new boat!

We are delighted to introduce Amarisa to both the harbour and our passengers at Lady Anne Wildlife Cruises. While the winter might be our down time in terms of trips, this one has been incredibly busy behind the scenes as we've been looking for just the right boat to ferry us into a new season!

Bookings will go live on April 5th and we can't wait to welcome you aboard for another summer of wildlife trips around Uist's beautiful coast!
