STOPOVER SERIES || Abu Dhabi

Inspired by the 15th to early 17th century Renaissance architecture and the urban planning of the city of Venice, The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi, Grand Canal is set against a backdrop of the majestic Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and consists of 10 stately buildings arranged in a crescent formation, complete with artfully designed water features and manicured gardens. This is Sean's recommendation for stopovers in Abu Dhabi owing to it's coveted location, private beach and elegant character.

While in Abu Dhabi try one or two of the following activities:

3. Immerse yourselves in Arabian nights with a Private Dune Dinner.

STOPOVER SERIES || Buenos Aires

Sean’s pick for a Buenos Aires stopover sits right in the heart of San Telmo, one of the oldest neighbourhoods, known for its bohemian atmosphere and vibrant tango culture. Anselmo Buenos Aires, Curious Collection features a sleek, modern interior design cleverly hidden inside an exterior reflecting San Telmo's historic architecture and cobblestone streets. Plaza Dorrego is just beyond the doorstep, and it’s just a five-minute walk from many bars and eateries. The Museum of Modern Art is two blocks away.

If you include a stopover in Beunos Aires, here's a few activities to make the most of your time:

1. Can you really say you've been to Argentina if you have tasted the wine or seen a tango show? Combine both with dinner to give you a real flavour of this lively city.

2. Learn a little more about the locality with a guided walking tour of Plaza de Mayo and San Telmo.

3. Try your hand as as Argentine Gaucho for the day including horseback riding and barbecue lunch.

STOPOVER SERIES || San Francisco

Being a nature lover, it’s easy to see why Sean’s pick for a San Francisco stopover is the Lodge at the Presidio. A place where you can escape the bustle of downtown and enjoy nature and recreation among the 1,500 acres of the Presidio of San Francisco.

When passing through San Francisco it would be a shame to miss the following:

1. Yosemite National Park, famed for it's ancient, giant sequoia trees, deep ravines and dramatic waterfalls. A hike here is sure to take your breath away.

2. Sample some of the regions most notable wines in Sanoma & Napa Valley Winelands.

3. If food is more your thing, head out on a Mission District food tour.
