Anyone else still on a countdown to holiday? The wait is feeling impossible and we just want to get on the road!!

Got two stops on this summer trip, staying at Gopsall Hall Farm our favourite local and then off to the East coast at Parkdean Resorts Kessingland! Thought not looking forward to the 4hour journey.

I'm going to attempt to change the alko front and back pads at the local before the long journey to see if that gets rid of the squeak because changing the sides hasn't stopped it urgh 🫣

If that doesn't work it'll be a postcard out to everyone for ideas! 💡

🏕️ Weekend Away Round-Up – Ted’s Farm, Shifnal 🚐💚

We spent the weekend making memories as a family, celebrating both Father’s Day and Toby’s 7th Birthday 🎂🎉.

There was plenty of exploring, running through fields, spotting wildlife, and even watching some very busy bees hard at work making honey 🐝🍯.

The caravan gadgets got a good workout too, with our Costco Infinity X1 2000 Lumen Camping Light keeping us well lit after dark and the Infinity X1 String Lights adding a lovely cosy glow around the Porto ✨🏕️.

Of course, no caravan trip would be complete without a few challenges…

🚽 The toilet decided it didn’t want to cooperate… but we fixed it!

💧 The water inlet has confirmed it wants replacing.

🎻 The caravan still squeaks when we’re towing it (despite our best efforts to convince it otherwise!).

But honestly, those little hiccups couldn’t take away from what was a brilliant weekend filled with family and life long friends, fresh air, good food, and plenty of laughs.

Already looking forward to the next adventure! 🚐💨

Really looking forward to this weekend away in the van at Teds Farm Camping!

The weather is changing every hour so packing will be fun!

Looking forward to spending it with friends and celebrating Toby's birthday and Father's Day on Sunday!

Also it's the summer solstice so make the most of the longest day of the year - with potential thunderstorms ⛈️

Great half term, especially making the most of the glorious weather ☀️
A real mixed one for us, life isn't always about touring, it's about all the other adventures too...
We've had birthdays, a celebration event (I even made a balloon arch) and a cheeky getaway in a glamping pod because sometimes we just can't be bothered to drag out the caravan for one night but still want to get away!

Do you do anything else when you really can't be bothered to use the van?

We only used a fan and actually it wasn't too bad in the shade, but helpful cooling tips on the cheap is what I'm after...?

Some sites are like Marmite, we recently visited Billing Aquadrome and those who always went as a kid would have fond (but naive) memories right!
These days as an adult it's no different, just different facilities (no fair anymore 😢) but through a different lens. We had a fab time despite the slight chaos and the activities for the kids were great, so much so we're going again next week!

Have you been to a site where you have the opposite experience of the general consensus?
