Well done everyone!
We are delighted to announce £14,942 was raised for charity from 2025’s
World Stone Skimming Championships!!!!!
£12,000 - Eilean Eisdeal
The Championship itself raised £12,000 as part of Eilean Eisdeal Charity Community Development Group. This money is vital for the upkeep of Easdale Community Hall, Easdale Island Folk Museum and Easdale Harbour.
10% Donation
To thank the local community and volunteers who worked so hard over the weekend the Eilean Eisdeal directors are donating 10% of the money raised, £1,200 to local community groups as follows.

£200 RNLI
£200 Seil Cinema Club
£100 Seil Sounds
£100 Mid Argyll Pipe Band
£100 Seil Biodiversity - Bird Hide on Teddy's Pond
The Championships do not just raise money for Easdale Island!!!

Raised by on the daycar parking payments donated by Seafari
Seil Community Hall - £1947
Raised from the Pre-Skim Concert and Car Parking payments
Scottish Air Ambulance– £500
Raised from charity entry tickets sales into the WSSC.
The Championships also provide a significant boost to local community. With over 50% of attendees eating out in Oban and staying for at least one night in Oban accommodation.
A massive thank you to everyone who took part in this years championships, without our fantastic volunteers the event could not take place.
