Burton Hall Self Catering Burton Hall self catering has 2 one bed holiday lets in the heart of rural Devon offering affordable retreats for those who want to get away from it all.

Burton Hall is a large attractive wooden house transported from Norway in the 1870’s by a local Woolen Mill owner. It is set in 1.4 acres of garden with lovely views over the town of North Tawton and to Dartmoor National Park. Perhaps unique in the UK the house boasts tonnes of Mid-Victorian Scandinavian style and could be said to be one of the first 'Flat-Pack' houses to be built in the Country.

Situated in the grounds of Burton Hall is a freshly renovated One Bedroom wooden Cabin with Garden area and view of the town of North Tawton and Dartmoor.

Martin and I have now sold Burton Hall and we seek pastures new in Chulmleigh!
Chris and Mark, the new owners, are going to continue the self catering business, so watch out for their information.
Thanks to everyone who has come to stay in the cabin or apartment. We have enjoyed meeting so many interesting people.
Although we will miss Burton Hall and our many returning guests, we look forward to getting to know another part of Devon.

Our Story

Burton Hall is a large attractive wooden house transported from Norway in the 1870’s by a local Woolen Mill owner. One or two bedroom Apartment in the East Wing of the house available for short breaks and week long stays. Situated in the grounds of Burton Hall is a One Bedroom wooden Cabin with Garden area and view of the town of North Tawton and Dartmoor.
