The first of our regular Friday evening’s Viking Experience on Scapa beach. Thor was having fun, we had sunshine, rain, more sunshine and rainbows but our brave Viking warriors just laughed at the gods and had a great time.

(Raggie) I'm now the same age as Jean Borwick was when she died. Born in 1777, she married merchant Robert Borwick in 1798. Together, they built The Georgian Hoose, where we have our historical dinners. Robert Borwick was involved in exporting plaited straw for London fashion. From 1816, he was one of a group who took over Highland Park distillery from smuggler Mansie Eunson. In 1826, he took full ownership and obtained a licence for the distillery. I find out a little bit more about Jean and Robert year by year, and as I portray Jean in our Georgian dinners I feel I get closer to her every time. Looking forward to 1798 Supper Club again in December.
