Join us on Saturday for the official launch of Viking Voices: Orkney from the Iron Age to the Late Norse.

This exhibition explores Orkney history in a way you've never seen before.

Created for the people of Orkney, this exhibition has been made possible by a donation from an Orcadian who wanted to tell the Viking story for all to enjoy.

We want you to enjoy new interpretations, revisit important artefacts and experience Orkney Museum like never before.

There are Q&A sessions on Launch day at 11am and 2pm, exploring the new exhibit and you'll have the chance to ask our curators, and Ragna!, any questions you might have!

We are looking forward to opening our doors and sharing with you.

The UHI Archaeology Institute will be joined by Stefan Nyzell (Malmö University) this week, and alongside Raggie Ljosland, will be delivering a seminar on ‘Public Engagement with the Viking Age’ on Friday 21 March 4pm.

It's a beautiful morning in Kirkwall 🌞 and I have an hour before work. So I'm finally getting round to washing the sheep fleeces that I "rooed" last summer.
