So, who is Lyn? 👋

If you’re new around here, or you’ve been following LV Prestige Travel for a while but don’t really know the person behind the page… hello, I’m Lyn.

I’m a travel agent, travel lover, business owner, hotel snooper and someone who is probably far too interested in looking at holidays when I’m supposed to be doing something else! 😂

I set up LV Prestige Travel with Vicky, and what started as a business has grown into something I’m genuinely very proud of.

Travel has always been a huge part of my life. I love everything from a European city break to lying on a beautiful beach, but over the last few years I’ve developed a real passion for expedition cruising too.

I’m a CLIA Master and have completed specialist expedition training, including getting out to the Arctic and seeing first-hand what expedition cruising is actually like.

🖤 A little Miami and Caribbean cruise inspiration…🖤

This is one of those trips that caught my eye because it gives you a bit of everything, a night in Miami followed by a week on the beautiful Oceania Vista, exploring the Caribbean.

Departing 12 March 2027, the itinerary takes you from Miami to Mexico and Belize before returning to Miami.

Miami → At Sea → Progreso → Cozumel → Harvest Caye → At Sea → Miami

You’d start with a night at the 5★ InterContinental Miami, giving you a little time to enjoy the city before boarding Oceania Vista for 7 nights.

🖤 A little cruise inspiration for this week…🖤

This one caught my eye because it packs quite a lot into 10 nights, with a lovely mix of Greece, Italy and Malta.

Sailing 30 October 2026 on Celebrity Equinox, the cruise starts and finishes in Barcelona and takes in some fantastic ports along the way.

The itinerary includes:

Barcelona → Valletta → Chania, Crete → Katakolon, Greece → Messina, Sicily → Naples → Rome → Barcelona

So there’s plenty to keep you busy ashore, whether you’re interested in history, food, beautiful old towns or simply finding somewhere lovely for lunch and watching the world go by.

And then there’s the ship itself. Celebrity Equinox has plenty to enjoy between ports, including the Lawn Club, the Martini Bar, live theatre productions, several dining options and Café al Bacio for the all-important coffee and cake.

The package includes flights from London Gatwick, luggage and transfers, with prices currently starting from £1,069 per person based on two sharing an interior stateroom. Other departure airports are available.

It’s a good example of why I like cruising, you unpack once, wake up somewhere different and have the choice of exploring or simply enjoying the ship.

🖤 Cape Town, Camps Bay & whales in Hermanus 🖤

This is the sort of South African trip I think would be really hard to beat.

It combines 5 nights in Camps Bay with 3 nights in Hermanus, giving you a lovely mix of city, beaches, incredible scenery and, if you’re lucky, the chance to see whales along the coast.

Travelling 14 July 2027, the trip includes stays at two beautiful 5★ hotels — Azamare Camps Bay and The Marine Hermanus — both on a bed and breakfast basis.
