This morning we had a very windy drive around the island with a stop at the lighthouse with some amazing views, followed by an afternoon sipping cocktails in Little Venice (the coffee isn’t mine 🤪).

It’s been about 11 years since I was last in Mykonos but it has the exact same charm as I remember, making it one of my favourite Greek islands. Today we had a beautiful morning which, after a lovely breakfast at our hotel, we spent exploring the beautiful maze of Mykonos town before stopping off for an amazing lunch at one of the hundreds of restaurants… there is too much choice! We spent the afternoon chilling in our room with private pool and hot tub… it had clouded over so we opted for the hot tub rather than pool! We have hired a jeep for the time we are here… we had a short explore to find a supermarket for some snacks in our room…. Driving here isn’t for the faint hearted but it’s all part of the adventure 😂! We then decided on a meal and drinks in the hotel bar which was fantastic! I have to say the hotel has been amazing… fantastic customer service and amazing quality. Looking forward to tomorrow 😊

We’ve arrived and so far very impressed with our hotel room and what we’ve seen of the hotel. It’s dark but I’m looking forward to seeing the view properly tomorrow - Mykonos town one side and the sea the other. Just turned the hot tub up to give it a try…. It’s a bit chilly for our private pool at night, maybe tomorrow 😊

We’re off on a little trip to Mykonos for a few days! Gatwick airport is busy but bag drop and security was straightforward and quick although I had paid for premium security which was well worth the £5 each as absolutely no queues and straight through to departures 😊. Now waiting to board our plane…. Can’t wait for the sun ☀️ and sea 🌊!
