Steve has over thirty five years experience in the maritime industry, from Chief Engineer to Technical Director. EMCS understands the business of ships and the sea, having wide ranging and extensive experience with owners, managers and operators of all types of vessels and off-shore structures and shipyards, vessel construction sites and repair facilities. (Richard George) Been an incredibly interesting and worthwhile two and a half weeks covering for one of the EMCS International Ltd Labour Co-ordinators at Grand Bahama Shipyard 🇧🇸

An opportunity to gain a real insight into the workings of the shipyard, catching them at a point of huge development, with the first of two very large docks due arriving late 2025 (to be operational January 2026) 🛳️

Thank you to all of the shipyard team for being so welcoming and helpful during my time on the island 🙌

Inspection of a cruise ship over the weekend at Southampton of various pipe works for the drydock specification later this year…. The unintentional confused look is standard for me 😂 but Andy from our sister company Ramsey Shipping Services (in background) at least knew where and what he was looking at!! ✅

As part of the EMCS Group Ramsey Shipping Services Limited (RSS) are based at The Shipyard in Ramsey, Isle of Man. RSS can repair vessels on the 2 slipways and carry out any manner of workshop or vessel based repairs. RSS act as ship’s agents for all manner of vessels calling at the Isle of Man.
