🌟Nestled in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, Tennants Auctioneers has built a reputation for excellence in fine arts and antiques. With a rich history and a passion for showcasing unique and valuable items, they attract collectors and enthusiasts from all over the world.

🌟Tenants will soon be hosting a highly anticipated auction featuring a previously unknown sketch by one of the UK’s most renowned painters, John Constable. The work has been held in a private family collection in North Yorkshire and is due to go under the hammer on 15th March.

🎨If you plan to view one of their forthcoming sales, be sure to check out their public galleries, cabinet spaces featuring visiting artists, special events, workshops and their gift shop or experience the buzz of the saleroom and see behind the scenes on one of their guided walking tours.

John Constable: An Unrecorded Sketch

An early sketch by the master landscape painter John Constable (1776-1837), not previously recorded in literature on the artist, has emerged from a private family collection in North Yorkshire. Measuring just 12 by 15 inches, the landscape will be offered for sale with an estimate of £150,000-200,000 (plus buyer’s premium) in the British, European and Sporting Art Sale at Tennants Auctioneers on 15th March.
