Local residents have worked really hard to put this 'Party on the Pasture' together, to let everyone have a bit of fun, and they are donating any proceeds to the Institute's renovation fund, which is extremely generous of them and very much appreciated!! Our Low Row Institute is 150 years old!
To celebrate this incredible milestone, there is an exhibition on display next weekend, (6th-7th July 10am to 4pm) detailing in great accuracy the history and social involvement of the Institute throughout its century and a half of existence.
There will be photographs detailing characters long past, and posters of the great events held in the area throughout this time. The great tithe map will also be on display, and photo CD's are also available that contain pictures of many of the houses in the Melbecks Area, and also pictorial records of what the area looked like many years ago.
Tea, Coffee, Cakes and refreshments will be available throughout the weekend, and Admission is FREE, so please come along and learn about a vital part of Swaledale history.
