Hi everyone, it’s Yorkshire Paul here! 👋

Just wanted to let you know my plans for June /July — I’m heading out to my favourite place… BENIDORM! 🇪🇸☀️⚽️ Yes, I’m going to be out there soaking up the sun and enjoying all the World Cup action — what better place to watch the football, right?!

But here’s the important bit — THIS DOES NOT MEAN I’M NOT WORKING! ❌🚫

Don’t you worry — I’ve still got my laptop, my phone, and all my systems with me. If you want to book a holiday, ask a question, or get a great deal — you can still get in touch exactly the same way as always. 📞💬📧

The only difference is… instead of sitting in an office in Ripon, I’ll probably be replying to you sat on my balcony with a cold drink, sunshine on my face, and a view of the sea! 🍹😎

The Canadian Grand Prix became part of the Formula 1 calendar in 1967 and it used to alternate the venues between Ontario and Quebec. However, due to safety concerns, it was later permanently moved to Montreal at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. It was originally named Île Notre-Dame Circuit, after the island that it is located on, but the tragic death of homegrown F1 driver Gilles Villeneuve brought about a change in the name. Adding on to yet another change to the circuit is the last corner (Turn 13). It leads on to the final straight that brings drivers to the finish line and has taken out many top drivers over the years. Now known as the Wall of Champions, the wall was modified in 2017 as it was decided to be too dangerous for the new design of the F1 cars.
The circuit itself has many great areas that will give you outstanding views of the race. Grandstand 11: Senna Curve is one of these areas that you will not go wrong with as it is located at the part of the track that frequently sees incidents. Add on the suspense of a group of race cars rushing in on the opening lap and you will find yourself sitting on the edge of your seat. Look out for the Wall of Champions as the cars take on the final corner to go into the home stretch. Another fantastic option is Grandstand 1 where you are guaranteed views of the pre-race preparations, driver sightings, pitstops, the podium ceremony and more excitingly, post-race interviews with the winners.
