🇮🇹 We’ve been lucky enough to explore Italy around 13 times now, and Tuscany is one of our absolute favourite regions.
We recommend Tuscany, especially for couples who appreciate art, timeless landscapes, and incredible wine culture.
Here’s our suggested one-week itinerary ✨
Day 1–2: Florence
Start in the heart of the Renaissance. Florence is all about atmosphere: wandering cobbled streets, admiring the Duomo, crossing the Ponte Vecchio, and enjoying long evenings with aperitivo on a rooftop. It’s the perfect introduction to Tuscany’s art, culture, and energy.
Day 3: Pisa
A classic must-see moment in Italy. Pisa is ideal for a relaxed stop to see the iconic Leaning Tower, explore the Piazza dei Miracoli, and enjoy a slow lunch before heading into the countryside.
Day 4: San Gimignano
This is one of those places that feels frozen in time. A medieval hilltop town known for its skyline of towers, small artisan shops, and some of the best gelato you’ll ever have. It’s a gentle, beautiful day of wandering and soaking it all in.
Day 5: Siena
Siena is pure Tuscan charm. The shell-shaped Piazza del Campo, the stunning cathedral, and the maze of historic streets make it one of the most atmospheric cities in Italy. Evenings here are perfect for wine and traditional local dining.
Day 6–7: Val d’Orcia
This is Tuscany at its most iconic. Rolling hills, cypress-lined roads, and golden light that feels almost unreal. Base yourself around Pienza or Montepulciano, explore hilltop villages, and enjoy wine tasting with views that stay with you long after you’ve left.
