I recently found an article on free messaging apps. Now I'm all for something, especially if it's free! Viber offers a complete package of video and voice calls plus instant messaging. It, apparently, syncs easily with your contacts list, identifying those who use Viber. For those who do, this then means that you can use the Viber phone book for all of your calls and texts. If the recipient has Viber, calls are free over Wi-Fi. If not, calls and texts will just come out of your mobile phone tariff. Viber is FREE to download on all platforms and can also be used on a Windows PC or MAC! Anyone out there tried it?

Just found an interesting and FREE piece of software to help anyone with revision. It's called ExamTime by Software4Students and includes Mind Maps, Flashcards, Quizzes and Notes. Apologies for the long absence but it's been a busy summer. My recent challenge has been researching sources of, and completing applications for, possible funding for a local charity. Just had my first success! Our application has been accepted and our request for the full amount has been granted. Here's hoping it's the first of many!

Is that essay driving you crazy? Is the deadline creeping closer? That's another student essay proofread and winging its way back! Referencing seems to be a huge burden for many but there are some really good FREE referencing websites out there for thos of you who find it all a bit too confusing. Take a look at:
www.neilstoolbox.com. I found it extremely good and very easy to use.

Sorry for the silence but busy, busy. Still on the subject of producing or updating your C.V., I've just uploaded my own C.V. on to my website (www.thedesktidy.co.uk) if you would like to see one way of presenting it. There are many others. For example, if you use Word 2010 go to File/New/New Resume Samples or Resumes and C.V.'s, where you will find numerous different templates which can be used.

Just completed another C.V. Seems to be the time of year for individuals seeking new challenges.
