Within a 2 minute walk you are in the main centre of Ryde, and in less 10 minutes walk you reach the wonderful sandy beaches of Ryde and Appley (which is dog friendly all year).

Off to the beach!!!

We are so lucky to have the beautiful sandy beaches of Ryde and Appley so close to Little Ryde, a short walk down the hill and you will be greeted with white sands and seashells galore!

Tapnell Farm is a must to visit during your stay, there is so much to do, from the aqua park, football golf, the indoor play area and the farm, plus there is now a wonderful maze and sunflower picking area this summer!! And, if you are quick they are hosting their last Biggest Kids Party this coming Thursday!

We’ve had a cancellation for October half term! The island is a fantastic place to visit all year round, but during half term lots of spooky things happen, so why not book a week long stay at Little Ryde and visit some of the local attractions with your little ones.
Furry friends are also welcome….as long as they don’t become little monsters after dark 😈

Are you heading to the wonderful Isle of Wight this weekend? If you are, we can HIGHLY recommend a visit to Dell Café, it really is a truly wonderful place to visit for a bite to eat, coffee or even to try one of their delicious cocktails! Located at Puckpool Sands just along from Appley Beach, it really is a great place to stop after a walk along the beach :)

To think that just under 18mths ago Little Ryde was a completely different house, it was tired and dated and in need of some serious love!
So, with the help of some great local trades we managed to turn our tired house into a beautiful holiday home that we could enjoy, and also share with other holiday makers. Everything in the house has been replaced, windows, kitchen and bathroom, flooring, the house was completely refurbished and we didn't stop there, the garden had a makeover too, with a small artificial grass area and new decking, faux living wall and festoon lighting!

We wanted Little Ryde to be a home from home for families, couples and pets too. The Island is not only a summer destination, but one that can be enjoyed all year round. With this in mind, we have a wonderful log burner in the Living Room for when those cooler nights set in, digital television and WIFI so that you can pop Netflix on and snuggle down for the evening with a glass of wine and just relax.

A little more about the family that owns Heron restaurant… 🍽

Alex (chef) and Laura (front of house) are both the proud owners of Heron and they have two beautiful young children Harry (3) and Holly (2) 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

They decided to open Heron last year in July after successfully owning and running The Cottage in Shanklin which was known for being an award winning venue thanks to its accolades and fantastic reviews. ⭐️

All menus are based on locally and seasonally sourced produce to create high quality Fine Dining meals in aim to be one of the must visit places to eat at on the Island. ⛴

The restaurant itself offers ground floor (kitchen view) and downstairs (wine cellar) seating, with near future plans to offer covered outdoor seating. 🍃

The menus are all based on optional 7 course blind tasting menus to showcase what our Chef Alex is capable of 🔪
