Dropped Ant and his family off at Liverpool John Lennon Airport and spotted what has to be the best suitcase cover I’ve ever seen!

A personalised, Pilks-inspired cover — an absolute belter and guaranteed to make the case stand out when the bags start coming round! 🔵

It was also a great chance for a proper catch-up with Ant. We’ve got loads of mutual connections, but rarely get the chance to stop and have a proper chat.

✈️ FLYING FROM LIVERPOOL AIRPORT? READ THIS BEFORE YOU TRAVEL! 🚗

A quick heads-up from Blue Sky Travel 💙

⚠️ Road closures to be aware of:

🚧 A561 Speke Boulevard (near Jaguar Land Rover): Closure and diversions until 5am Monday 26 October, followed by traffic restrictions and a contraflow.

🚧 Speke Hall Avenue (airport exit): Overnight closure from 10pm Monday 26 October to 5am Tuesday 27 October.

🕒 Allow extra time for your airport transfer, particularly for early flights and late arrivals.

☕ A relaxed coffee at the terminal is much better than a last-minute dash!

🏉 Great to get down and watch LSH take on West Park today!

Always nice when you’ve got plenty of friends and Blue Sky customers playing on both sides, making it a game you’re genuinely invested in. It was a cracking contest, close all the way, with some fantastic rugby on show despite the difficult conditions.

One of the best bits was seeing our customers out there giving it their all, with the Blue Sky advertising board in the background! 💙

It’s great to see the people we deal with every day outside of work, doing what they love, and to be able to support the local rugby community in our own little way.

Well played to both sides, and thanks for the entertainment!

📚 From the English classroom to the airport run… ✈️

Lovely to catch up with former teaching colleague Beth this morning, along with her lovely dad Tony, as we got them safely to Liverpool Airport.

Beth’s an English teacher too, so naturally we had to get a bit of Shakespeare in there!

“Wisely and slow; they stumble that run fast.” — Romeo and Juliet 🎭

Sound advice from the Bard, and not a bad motto for airport transfers either! No rushing, no fuss, just a safe, reliable journey to get your holiday started properly (we had no choice on the pace of the journey with all the road closures!).

Westlife might have finished, but the singing certainly hadn't! 😂

Picked up after the Westlife concert and Danielle and Nicola, our Blue Sky super fans, were in their absolute element!

The journey home turned into a full-on Carpool karaoke, with all of us belting out the tunes. I'd even argue that Westlife were the second best group that night 😂

Dropped off at Ice Bar in town, the whole experience made even better by the news that the kids' football was cancelled in the morning. No early alarm? Sounds like a perfect excuse to enjoy the night a little longer!

A brilliant run, lovely passengers and plenty of laughs along the way. That's what it's all about!

This is a bottle opener. It was given to me as a gift, this morning, by a new customer who felt the need to remember the outward journey. I won't go into too much detail, but that journey was up there with the funniest things that have ever happened in my whole life. The story itself is going in room 101 until retirement, though.
Anyway, book in for the journey. We're dead nice and the vehicles are brilliant.
