"Nothing beats the adventure of exploration".

When I was in Salisbury in May, the weather was windy and rainy. Thankfully though it got better to the point that in the evening the sun was shining brightly as it set on the horizon. I thought I had to get out and see Salisbury in such bright weather and I was very happy I did. Gone was the gloom and the rain.

Hello everyone. I've not posted for while but I am back now that I have new photos to share. Hope you are all well? At the end of May I started solo travelling around the UK again beginning with Salisbury. Doesn't the cathedral look amazing. Did you know that it has the tallest spire in the United Kingdom and weighs 6,500 tons!!

Have you visited Salisbury cathedral?

Manhattan, New York. A view from the top of the Empire State Building. Not a bad view is it? The views from Rockafeller Centre aren't bad either but this higher vantage point is better in my opinion. On a sunny day, you can see everything in this huge dense city. No wonder it feels like the top of the world. I understand why king kong climbed up there now 😂.

Now we are firmly in springtime I feel optimistic. Exploring new places in the UK and returning to work at the office to finally see colleagues are all on the horizon over the next few weeks and months. Through all the difficulties that a third lockdown in the UK has brought I have found the first quarter of the year positive for my mindset, routine and purpose. In the second quarter of the year, I'm excited to bring these positives into the normality of travelling to work five days a week and solo travelling again.

How is everyone feeling now it is spring?

Solo Travel - Venice

In the summer of 2018, I solo travelled to the famous city of Venice. I had visited the city once before when I was younger and always remembered it for being so busy. By being such a lure for tourists this hadn't changed by 2018. After checking in I remember heading straight back out of the hotel and started walking without any care for where I was going. I just wanted to explore and use my instincts with the free time I had. I did use boats a few times whilst there but walking is a necessity in Venice. There are restaurants everywhere, many bridges to cross and a whole lot of beautiful buildings to see. In the Italian summer sun, Venice is a gorgeous city to visit.

Have you been to Venice?

Has anyone got holidays booked for this year yet? As schools are set to re-open tomorrow it marks the first step on the road out of lockdown in England and hope of normality rekindles. Time is really motoring on this year and with heading into the second week of March the subsequent months don't feel too far away.

We've all dreamt of what we will do when restrictions lift and as each day passes we get closer to the reality of doing the things we love most. That beach you want to be on, you'll be there sooner than you think 😊.

Using my time and passion I am dedicated to helping you find new places and experiences on holiday using my knowledge as an independent travel agent and a solo traveller. Message me to discuss how I can help book that holiday or trip you've been thinking of.

Umm, so where should I explore next?? Has anyone else been asking themselves the same question recently? It's something nice to be thinking about with much more hope on the horizon. It'll be lovely to walk the streets of London again. I'll never take it for granted again that I live in this amazing city.

A week from the road map announcement out of lockdown 3.0 and I can still feel the sense of excitement that travel is back on the horizon very soon.

Just as in summer 2020, staycations will be the name of the game for me during the spring and summer and I am ready to embrace it. A lot of my solo travels has been in the UK and even though to many great places there is so much more to experience. So far in the UK, I have been to York, Bristol, Bath, Canterbury, Brighton, Hastings, Isle of Wight, Portsmouth, Dover, Stratford Upon-Avon, Cambridge, Oxford, Wi******er, Edinburgh, Liverpool, Manchester, Bakewell, Warwick, Arundel, Windermere and Ambleside.

For the next staycations I have in my sight, Salisbury, Nottingham, Devon and Cornwall, The Cotswold and Snowdonia National Park.

Where else do you suggest I visit in the UK?

Does anyone else enjoy exploring the city you live in?

I've lived in London all my life and there is so much I haven't seen. This makes me excited, because I know I can explore new places right where I live. Although my thoughts are turning towards where I want to travel to in the future, I know that when restrictions lift I'll be exploring London a lot.

Where do you live? Do you enjoy exploring your city?

Using my time and passion I am dedicated to helping you find new places and experiences on holiday using my knowledge as an independent travel agent and a solo traveller. Wherever you want to travel to in the future I can help you get there.
