One of the best places for our holiday guests to visit is the stunning National Wallace Monument in Stirling. Sitting proudly on Abbey Craig, this iconic tower overlooks the historic site of the Battle of Stirling Bridge and offers incredible views across the area. Which you can see from Ochilview cottage.

Built in 1869 in a beautiful Victorian Gothic style, the monument celebrates Scottish hero Sir William Wallace. Guests can climb the 246 spiral steps to the top viewing gallery and explore the fascinating exhibits inside along the way.

A perfect day out for anyone looking to enjoy a bit of Scottish history, scenery, and adventure during their stay! Enjoy a lunch or coffee n cake in their cafe called Legends at the Monument at the bottom.

Drive to the carpark at the bottom of Abbey Craig and walk to the top of the monument for spectacular views, looking out towards the Central belt of Scotland.
