A day with Michael Barratt MBE at Transport for London, and a lot of honest conversations that really made us stop and think ππ§
For us, this wasnβt just about going to see a site or sitting in on a discussion or presentation It was about stepping outside of our usual day-to-day, listening, understanding and actually experiencing how is experienced by the those who actually have to move through it, especially those with , access needs and different ways of travelling through busy urban spaces π¦
The more we learn, the clearer it becomes that good TM design has to do more than keep traffic moving. It has to be inclusive. It has to be practical. And it has to work for real people in the real world π
Thatβs exactly why this visit mattered. It gave us the chance to challenge our thinking, see things from a different point of view, and take another step forward in what we hope becomes a much bigger push to help raise standards across the industry.
We know this is only the start, but it is a start, and that matters π
If better conversations, better design and better understanding lead to more inclusive sites, then thatβs a journey worth being on.
A big thank you again to Michael and the TfL team for their time, insight and support. Weβve taken a lot from it, and weβre excited to see where it leads next π²
