The Botanical Gardens (free entry) is looking beautiful right now and serving tea every morning over summer, how fabulous after a relaxing stroll up the hill, or a power walk if you are that way inclined!

A lovely day today but with a wind that was making the sea very rough! We were still able to enjoy a fabulous trip on the ferry over to Teignmouth where we had a yummy lunch at The Venus Cafe. The beach has changed shape dramatically from the storms but the Parish Council will be doing their annual beach clean and re-shuffle with the digger in time for the summer!

We've been down to the cottage today and I installed the new house sign which I painted. Many years prior to Mum buying the cottage in 1980, the Geranium which still flowers constantly in the conservatory had been in the newspaper for being one of the oldest in the country so we thought it appropriate that Geraniums featured on the sign!

Oh Wow, our guests had the most amazing stay at Dolphin Cottage last week. They were there for the bonfire and fireworks - a spectacular event every year! This years theme was Jurassic Park! Here's a youtube viddo for those of us who missed it:

This year, we had a Jurassic-themed bonfire and associated silliness, fabulous fireworks supported by both Teignmouth and Shaldon Councils.

We have just had a cancellation for the 18th-25th Sept, sadly one of our regular customers can't go this time. We can offer this week for £110 a night, minimum 3 nights or we could maybe do a bit of a deal on the week. Contact me to book

Unusually, we have 5 nights available in July. It's the 7th July to the 12th July. We've just reduced the rate to £120 a night as it would be so sad for it not to be enjoyed during this prime summer time, here's a picture of Mum enjoying a beautiful swim in the sea a couple of days ago! The alley way to Crown Square where Dolphin Cottage nestles is looking SO pretty today! These narrow streets are ideal for exploring by the young and old alike. I have happy memories of roller skating around here about 35 years ago!
