Ideal for a romantic break, multi-generational family holiday or a peaceful getaway with your furry friend. Hael Farm Cottages has several self-catering holiday cottages to offer:

Hael Farm Cottage - sleeps 5-6
Oxwich View Cottage - sleeps 6
Port Eynon Beach Cottage - Sleeps 8
Ivy Cottage - sleeps 14
Whitebridge Cottage - sleeps 6-8

Hael Farm Cottage:
The open plan living area is located above t

he sleeping accommodation. Two sets of french doors afford extensive views over the surrounding countryside. The kitchen area has a full range of modern appliances with a utility area adjacent with washing machine and tumble dryer. A log burner offers a focal point for the sitting area which is equipped with wall mounted flat screen TV, Sky, and internet access. The dining table seats 6 comfortably. The ground floor sleeping accommodation consists of a double bedroom, twin bedroom with ensuite bathroom, and a single bedroom. The fully tiled bathroom includes a shower and a shaver point. The double and twin bedrooms have french windows opening out onto a paved area. The cottage has a garden area complete with barbeque and views across the fields. The cottage is in a secluded location, with the nearest house ¼ mile away, except for the owner’s farm house which is adjacent. It is approached down a farm track and bridle path, which opens out into the farm yard, with a natural duck pond . Ivy Cottages:
Ivy Cottages are located in the picturesque village of Port Eynon, situated just 100 metres from the award winning beach. The semi detached cottages sleep 6 (Oxwich View) and 8 people (Port Eynon Beach) respectively or can be rented together for larger groups of up to 14 people. Both cottages have Freeview TV, wifi internet connection and a wood burner. Both cottages also offer outside seating areas and enclosed gardens. Oxwich View:
Oxwich View Cottage has three bedrooms; one king bedroom with ensuite, one double bedroom and one twin. In addition there is a family bathroom and downstairs cloakroom. The fully equipped kitchen includes electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer. The lounge and dining area is tastefully and warmly furnished for maximum comfort and enjoyment. Port Eynon Beach:
Port Eynon Beach Cottage has three bedroom on the first floor; one king bedroom with ensuite, one double and one twin and one family bathroom. The ground floor contains one more double bedroom with ensuite. The living accommodation includes a fully equipped fitted kitchen, and separate lounge and dining area. Whitebridge Cottage:
Whitebridge Cottage can also be found in Port Eynon, just a stones throw away from the beach. The cottage features one double bedroom with ensuite, a further double bedroom, one twin (with additional bunkbeds) and one family bathroom. The downstairs comprises of living room with wood burner, dedicated work area, cloakroom, large kitchen/diner and utility room. The fully equipped modern kitchen offers the perfect place for family gatherings. The cottage also offers an outside seating area, enclosed garden and parking for 2 cars.

What have you been doing this week?

Cushion removal, washing and restuffing! and back into the cottages 😊

Who doesn't like a plump cushion & has never EVER said "you can never have too many cushions" - Dean.

I'm sure he's like a large % of males who promptly toss the cushions on the floor 😁

A watermark on the ceiling directly underneath the bathroom - which can only mean one thing.

You've got a leak!!!🛁🚿🚽

Guest requests 🤗

We will ALWAYS aim to please and 💯% encourage our guests to provide feedback on their stay.

We also sometimes have to politely say that "we try VERY hard to make our cottages as welcoming, comfortable, accessible, clean and functional as possible for all our guests". However we do understand that won't meet everyone's needs.

We DO ensure that photo's and descriptions portray our cottages as honestly as possible.

All the above means we have MANY happy holiday makers leave our accommodation and return!

A few requests from this year -

➡️Outside dog washing facilities - perhaps not as fancy as the photograph - we do have outside hoses!
➡️Lockbox relocated - actioned.
➡️Pictures - more pictures to make the cottages feel a little more homely - that one is on the list. Photographs of the beautiful Gower to be installed.
➡️Your mattresses are too soft, your mattresses are too hard - has anyone else read The Princess and The Pea or Goldilocks - this one is a hard one (or soft!!) to accommodate everyone's needs. We do concede that the mattresses in Port Eynon failed quickly and we replaced these in August.
➡️Connecting gates - actioned. Making the gardens accessible from both cottages when they are rented as "Ivy Cottage".
➡️More saucepans - easy one!
➡️Letter boxes - two of our cottages in Port Eynon don't have letter boxes but the local postie ♥ always finds a way.

Some actioned, some on the list for January, some that will stay on the list for now and if the demand changes in the future we will consider!! That is as fair as we can be.

We continue to be busy receiving guests this October but have already started some of our annual "jobs" that continue throughout the Autumn.

Restocking kitchens; the most common place for breakages. Inventories have been made and replacements purchased ready to go back into the cottages this week. We keep a healthy supply of wine glasses 😆🍷that get replaced throughout the year and of course as much as we prepare and restock there will be something that breaks or goes missing at some point that gets replaced as needed.

This years top replacements include wine glasses, whisks! your obviously whisking too hard!, bag clips (pop it on there and then it goes home with you 😆), some replacement roasting tins, knives, forks, pegs, plasters and bandages for the first aid kits, 2 kettles (these didn't go missing!) and a little bit of china! Not too bad this year.

Not annual but happens this time of year and then regularly throughout the season; mattress protectors inventoried, replaced and washed. One Cottage down 3 more to go!

And of course we start to make our lists for January when the Port Eynon Cottages shut down to have a lick of paint and any other remedial work completed. I am happy to say after a few years of beds, mattresses, flooring, furniture and kitchens replaced. We are hoping just to get the paint brushes out this year.

Hael Farm Cottage will also be shut for a short while either before or after Christmas for a kitchen refresh!

Ensuring the cottages are maintained to a high standard ready to receive you all throughout the year.

What’s not to like?

Does anyone else remember picking fruit in their grandparents gardens. Mine had a Victoria Plum tree and I would eat more whilst picking than I would take home.

2026 Calendars 📆

I normally put our new planner up towards the end of the year but I couldn't wait to get this one up and running! We have already received many bookings for next year. Our wonderful "repeat" guests who booked their stays for 2026 immediately after leaving their cottages this year and our just as wonderful new guests who have found us and booked us already for next year.

So, as much as you will see us discussing our Autumn/Winter availability as we would like to be booked all year round!

We just KNOW that some of you are already thinking about next year...... so don't forget our 2026 calendars are open and offering accommodation we like to think for any "visitor" or "occasion". All our cottages are self-catering holiday cottages, all can be found on the Gower Peninsula, all accept pets, all are Visit Wales Rated and all offer something different.

As we go through the next week I will pop a "spotlight" on each one.

But if you can't wait for that, you can find us welcoming guests since 2009, offering family run self-catering holiday homes on the Gower Peninsula, accommodation sleeping from 5 to 14.

Looking to snuggle up or cwtch? 🥰

Following storm Amy this weekend I certainly felt like curling up in front of one of the wood burners in our cottages.

I met some very brave guests on Friday who had been for a dog walk during the storm but they had definitely come prepared for the weather. As my brother would say (and many before him); there's no such thing as bad weather just bad clothing.

Whitebridge Cottage is the perfect place to relax this Autumn; with the beach just a two minute stroll, if you get caught out by the Welsh weather 🌧it's not too far to return and put the fire on.
